10k dollars later we are having to drop a new transmission never even had breaks not even 3 yrs old we bought new and now they are saying we may have to buy a new rear end as well! Who has this kinda money!
I’m so sorry. This is my worst nightmare. Out of curiosity, did you do a fluid change at 30k?

Wow that’s crazy. Sorry to hear that. I’m creeping up on 70k miles. It is quite concerning to see so many posts on transmission related issues. If that were to happen to me I honestly wouldn’t drop that kind of money. I would get rid of the car in a heart beat.

Yeah I just saw a video about how you can't change the filter without pulling the whole thing out and splitting the case in half. I don't know if it's related to the filter or not, but I know I'm going to be changing my fluid about every $30,000 to hopefully help prevent that conking up. At least it is a pretty interesting transmission because if you read about it, there's a joint venture between Ford and GM, but GMS was a 9-speed and Ford felt it only needed eight so it had to do some pretty funky things to make that work. Also, they wanted to use parts from their new 10-speed so they had to do some weird stuff to make those work so it's kind of a weird transmission. Honestly, I really hope that you find a way for Ford to cover some of it or get a discount or anything to help cuz that really is messed up and you shouldn't be having to pay for something like that and to pay that much. You know if Ford says they're not going to cover it, you might look at other places cuz the dealers are almost always charge way more than anywhere else.

If you bought new, and its less than 3 years old, shouldn't the warranty cover it?

Unless your miles are over 36,000 perhaps. I'd be pleading a case for a good faith warranty.

The drivetrain should be covered for 5yr/60k.

Respond to Ford here, but a failure in less than five years, barely above 60000 miles of the transmission is a textbook case for the dealer to support a request for a goodwill repair to the manufacturer.

Talk to the service manager, general manager, then the owner of the dealership if they don't want to support a request to Ford for a goodwill repair. If none of them will support a request for a goodwill repair, go to another dealer.

Also if Ford posts here, message with them and see what they say.

Fun fact. Ford requires dealers to participate in "Goodwill" repairs. The split is often, 33% split among the 3 parties. Ford, dealer, customer. Make your case with the selling dealer. Other dealers will have zero interest in paying a portion for another dealers customer. It's a crap policy that stops many dealers from participating.

im getting a bit concerned that all these transmission, battery, and Rear Dif issues are happening on a vehicle that has less than 100,000 miles on them....from what i hear in the forums, ford is sending out daily recalls to fix it, or it will cost you $10k in repairs.... this should never happen on vehicles like this....

if mine starts failing as the others, i might have to make a decision i dont want to.....
i love the BS, and really dont want to get rid if it (especially too early) due to faulty issues like this.
i can find a more reliable vehicle if Ford is forcing me to do so.

Good afternoon, Allen. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this on my end?

Same here 2021 Bronco Sport needs a new transmission. Report the issue to NHTSA. If the issues are reported they should do a recall. Save the receipt as Ford will reimburse you

From experience don’t bother with Ford on here they won’t help you. They will act like they can do something but in the end they won’t do a thing.

The more I see posts like this the more I DON'T want my next vehicle to be a Ford . My guts telling to run far away from Fords.
