The drivetrain should be covered for 5yr/60k.If you bought new, and its less than 3 years old, shouldn't the warranty cover it?
Unless your miles are over 36,000 perhaps. I'd be pleading a case for a good faith warranty.
Fun fact. Ford requires dealers to participate in "Goodwill" repairs. The split is often, 33% split among the 3 parties. Ford, dealer, customer. Make your case with the selling dealer. Other dealers will have zero interest in paying a portion for another dealers customer. It's a crap policy that stops many dealers from participating.Respond to Ford here, but a failure in less than five years, barely above 60000 miles of the transmission is a textbook case for the dealer to support a request for a goodwill repair to the manufacturer.
Talk to the service manager, general manager, then the owner of the dealership if they don't want to support a request to Ford for a goodwill repair. If none of them will support a request for a goodwill repair, go to another dealer.
Also if Ford posts here, message with them and see what they say.

Same here 2021 Bronco Sport needs a new transmission. Report the issue to NHTSA. If the issues are reported they should do a recall. Save the receipt as Ford will reimburse you10k dollars later we are having to drop a new transmission never even had breaks not even 3 yrs old we bought new and now they are saying we may have to buy a new rear end as well!
