Which wires do you need to splice into to light those up? I have the lamps installed, but my badlands did not come with ANY ambient lighting wiring....I need figure out which wires to tap into.
Without having ambient lights installed, there would be no wires to tap into. The cubby light has 3 wires, ground, positive and a data (I think the 3rd wire acts like a potentiometer, reduces or increases voltage?) anyhow the light will work with just a ground and a 12v line, it just won't go from bright to dim. Now having said all that, I wouldn't bother even on the brightest light you can hardly tell it's on.
To light up my cubby I used this.

I ended up cutting it down to just one of the cuttable sections, just around an inch, sticking it to the top of the cubby and it lights the whole area up nicely, I cannot see the strip light from my driving position and there is no reflection of the led in my phone screen when it's on charge, it's just a nice glow, doesn't match the cup holder lights perfectly but it's close enough.

I positioned the led about 1/4" down and centre from the front of the under panel, I also warmed the end of the cable up and bent the wires coming off the led strip towards the USB plug.

How are these holding up?? Still rock solid, even after adding weight? The install is essentially just tapping into the plastic panel behind the liner?? What exactly are the screws tapping?

I think they are a great spot to add extra cargo space for the BS, but I worry, that they'll just fall off after a bit.
It’s been on for a while now and have no complaint. As others stating — don’t over-load it, screws are just in the plastic trim, but it fits snugly and seemingly will hold light/moderate weight. Seems to me that the pulling forces are horizontal, not vertical.

I installed PPF on my headlights, roof area just above the windshield, and the a-pillars. The headlights were a little tricky dealing with the curve on the outside edges. And it would have been helpful to have a second pair of hands on the roof, but overall it was relatively simple. the key is patience. I already had film on my hood, bumper and front fenders that I paid to have done right after purchase. Doing these areas myself saved a good amount of money. Links to the film I bought are below.

One of the things that bugged me a bit was that Ford chose to equip my Badlands with LED lighting everywhere BUT the taillight turn signals, brake lights, and backup lights. So today I took care of that and changed out the bulbs with LEDs:

For those are interested, the LED Bulb types you'll need are as follows:

Turn - 921 Amber
Brake - 3157 Red
Backup - 7443 White

Installation was a snap. Changing out the bulbs is well documented in the owner's manual but all you need is a 10mm nut driver or socket wrench. Always be careful when working the housing tabs off of the studs (you REALLY don't want to break one of those) but the whole change-out took me less than 15 minutes.

I used bulbs from Diode Dynamics (www.diodedynamics.com) as they are an American based company and the quality of their products as well as customer support are outstanding (3 year warranty, but I've had them in my Fiesta ST for nearly 6 years now without a failure). But for those on a budget there are admittedly less expensive options out there.

While it's hard to see in the daylight pic, the backup LEDs are probably the biggest improvement in the cars I've put them in, with a noticeably brighter and whiter light than stock.

is this all plug and play with the LED bulbs?

I went to the beach!

The sand was pretty solid except for a couple of loose patches. I went right through it. The Ranger (or F-150) behind me took a slight detour to stay on the packed part.

Painted by Paul Straus, been in the business for over 50 years. Charged me $80, gave him $100. Took him 20 minutes
Good move. Gotta take care of those specialty guys! Had a local brush put Cubbie Blue pinstripes on my daughters Escape. Followed your payment format almost to the letter! ??
