So as far as the steeda strut tower brace goes, I wouldn't say it changed the driving dynamic much if anything at all, I'm just glad it's on for extra structural support. Drove some really windy canyon roads on our Yosemite trip and she handles really well. Almost forgot I was in the sport. Unfortunately only took one pic near the trail head and it's not great.

I should've got a pic of it packed up and the roof basket loaded up. I was just excited to be at our air B&B and unpacked everything.

I usually never sit on car parts this long but had this JCR plate in the box in the garage for at least a week. The instructions are kind of terrible. So here's some close up pics of how the brackets sit inside the lower crossmember.

I used some red loctite on all the bolts. I like the stick, no drippy mess.

On the badlands there's a metal cover on the drivers side I also had to loosen to fit the mid plate bracket under

Took about an hour by myself. Ended up not having to trim any of the felt cover like the instructions and video say.

Also realized I'm missing the passenger side felt. I guess it doesn't matter since there's nothing there to protect but my OCD tells me it should be symmetrical. Pretty sure the big bend had a cover on both sides. And the sport in the video on JCR has one too. Didn't pay attention to that last time i was under here to change the oil.

I was going to make a set of front seat spacers myself but haven't gotten around to it. Ended up just buying 2 pairs for both the front seats on the 4th.

Got this email with coupon code from desert does it today, if anyone was contemplating buying a set also

Can you provide a link to the site honoring the code?

Installed them today. Originally I was going to remove one of the seat bolts and see what the thread pitch was and get a longer bolt and stack some washers. But it was easier to just hit order. I will update with the correct thread of the bolt of anyone is interested in doing a DIY version of this as I was going to do.

Nicely packaged and I thought this was a cool way to send the stickers also. Almost threw one away I thought it was just a tag for the packaging itself. They also include some blue thread locker and a treat for when you finish.

You only need a small flat pry tool, a 15mm socket, and a T55 plus if you have it. A regular T55 will work. I don't like the mess so I again used some loctite stick formula.

Completely removed the front bolts and loosened the rear to lift the seats and put the plates under the front. Tightened front then rear and put the covers back on.

Of course it will raise the plastic trim pieces with the seat. But that will just make it easier to clean right?

This is the angle the seats should have come. So much better.

Update: factory bolts are M10 x 1.5 with 1-3/16" of thread showing.
So you could get 4 slightly longer bolts and some square washers way cheaper.

As cool as this seat mod is the cat stole the show! I own two cats and love them to death.

That's the golden color I going for initially. Can't wait to see them at night.

Yes I need a wider driveway
Did you use LaminX films? I bought them and could not get them anywhere close to setting down without a hug kink and bubble. The film was thick and didn't seem to have any strtch or give. I peeled the one off I tried and tossed them.

No changed the actual lenses from the baja "amber" to factory amber. The ditch lights still have the baja "amber" for lens color reference

Usually some heat from even a hair dryer is enough to strech vinyl. But the lamin-x should be cut to fit. You could do a wet set with some water in a spray bottle and a drop of dish soap then squeegee it into place.
@Oside_Bronquito did the lamin-x, maybe he has some tips.

I didn't catch that you had replaced the factory fogs. As for the Lamin-X , I did the installation on a hot day in my garage and used a hair dryer. Also, I did use a dish soap solution for repositioning. The Lamin-X films I bought were pre-cut. They just wouldn't conform and I gave up on using it.
