My theory : There's probably some dim bulb out there who thought it was to hold a stylus for the touch screen, and so it was deleted.I wonder if Ford stopped using them because they're maybe a little faulty? Mine drops the pen if I close the lid too hard or maybe go over some bumps. 100º+ heat every day probably doesn't help keep it tight.
This forum makes it possible for anyone in the market to know about things they believe Ford should include with a new Bronco Sport. They can then inspect the car they want to buy before paying and make a decision whether to go forward or not. My guess is the overwhelming majority of potential buyers will not turn away due to lack of a pencil holder/headrest/engine cover/etc.But what about all these other little parts? I don't get how Ford can sell a certain model (year), remove some things, but not change the price or give credits?

Like my old man, I keep a log book on all my cars: logging gas fill-ups, maintenance and repairs. I use a pencil.Who uses a pencil these days?
You can log all your maintenance in the FordPass app. It'll never get lost, and the next owner will have access to it. I made a Google spreadsheet I can access on my phone for tracking refuelings. Same goes for this data; it's in the cloud so will never get lost.Like my old man, I keep a log book on all my cars: logging gas fill-ups, maintenance and repairs. I use a pencil.
A pencil and notepad is handy and quick, while logging into my cell phone and futzing with typing on the screen at a gas station is not.You can log all your maintenance in the FordPass app. It'll never get lost, and the next owner will have access to it. You can view my spreadsheet at this link. You should be able to download a copy of it to your own phone if you'd like to use it. Let me know if you can't; I'm more than happy to share it.

I don't sit at the pump while entering the data. I get a receipt (also electronic) and enter it when I can. I don't like duplicating effort (write it down first, then enter it in the spreadsheet), and I like being able to access the data anytime I have my phone, which is pretty much always. So yeah, to each his/her own!A pencil and notepad is handy and quick, while logging into my cell phone and futzing with typing on the screen at a gas station is not.
At home, I can put it in an Excel spreadsheet, or use one of the gas apps, like Fuelly, TrueDelta, or fueleconomy.gov.
Refueling in NJ is easy and quick.
You see, self-service gas stations are not legal here. Hand your credit card out the window, the attendant fuels you up, hands back your card and receipt, and you're out of there in just a couple minutes! No holding up the line while somebody futzes around in their car with their cell phone gas app.
Or I can just use the receipt and type it in my notebook or spreadsheet later.
I don't need an app for that!
