I was expecting a lot more than this. I would liked to have seen even larger tires with unique flares like on the full size Bronco. Not for me. I'll stick with the base Badlands.
But I'll expect a much (much) higher price tag too.

Build & Price says can't get 235 tires on Badlands unless you get the $3,000 sasquatch package? Before you could add 235 tires as stand alone option on a Badlands.

But the Sasquatch rear tow hooks, front bull bar is styling. Good start just add an aftermarket lift and 245 tires would look pretty tough.

But Badlands stuck with black outside door handles now?? Sky high price black outside door handles only?

12 hp chop on 2.0L due to stricker emissions laws. Prob not very noticable but not exactly in the plus column.

Glad my '21 only has 23k miles and sits in a garage most of time so don't need replacing.....
As I understand it, the SAS pkg on the Badlands also increases the towing capacity from 2200 lbs to 2700 lbs. They may be a useful option for those who want to tow slightly more than the previous model year Badlands offer, although a Maverick with the 4K tow pkg would be a better fit.

Technical specifications bulletin shows the regular badlands also has the 2700 lb towing capacity.

honestly the best selling Bronco Sport will continue to be the Big Bend and I can see a future where many would lean towards getting the black diamond package! that's the sweet spot in the line up....you get some off road chops, A/T tires....for very little money.

....the Badlands trim will always exist but it makes no sense to buy one.

Just curious what the reason is you like to say that? Is it because of the badlands 2.0L engine?

There's still no flex at all. Will anyone ever offer a quick swaybar disconnect for us?

$$$ - one is better off buying a Bronco.
This makes no sense. You get a lot of bells and whistles (creature comforts as well) in a loaded Badlands that you simply don't get when you buy a 45k Bronco (Assuming year to year pricing here. Not what 45k got you if you had a reservation for a 2021) . The cheapest models of cars I'd assume are most often the most purchased.

Oh I think it makes tons of sense…even without considering depreciation:

$45k gets into a fairly loaded Black Diamond and $2k gets into a Outer Banks - nothing basic about these at all…

you get more power, since there’s no particle filter; more ground clearance; more capability….

you can also spend $39k and get into a Maverick Tremor or a nicely equipped mid-level Ranger!

You actually get less ground clearance with a Black Diamond and Outer Banks than a Bronco Sport Badlands unless you add SAS. You also at those prices are not getting the Lux package so you are not getting all the bells and whistles inside and electronically that you do with a fully loaded BSBL. The prices you mention of 45k and 47k for those two Big Broncos are the most basic versions of those models with nothing added.

A Bronco won’t fit in my garage. A Bronco Sport will.

Choice is good.
