yes it is. It was what I had laying a around to experiment with. It works good, there is a noticeable difference. If I was purchasing something it would be prob be fuel line tubing. I don't know about anyone else; I haven't paid a lot a attention to hood seals lately but I surely remember them from the 60's- 80's being a heck of a lot thicker rubber. I like the deflector but boy does it change the flow over the hood.
Thanks another item I need to buy for my BS. This thing is getting expensive.

Just a thought, I know the insulation for the hood is not overly sturdy, (I have it in storage waiting on my BS)any BS owners with it installed see any difference in the hood vibration versus ones without insulator?
I have the insulation/vibration combo. Certainly not helping in my case.

I'm guessing they are not adjusted properly. Mine did not flap at speed, and after installing the deflector, it still does not flap.

I think there are rubber adjusters, as most hoods have this. It's going to make me open the hood tonight and check.

Tried everything to get rid of the hood shake, I was able to reduce it with several things but it still shook at 70+, could not handle it and had to get rid of the deflector.

I’m pretty sure we discussed hood shake a while back in 2021, i’ve seen air get thru the gaps between the hood and the windshield but that was only on a car wash dryer.

If you haven't tried you can tighten these (see picture) that way the front of the hood has lesser gap for the air to get thru the front side of the hood.

I wonder if any of the folks with hood shake also have the side hood weatherstrips? My hood does not shake and I do have the side strips (from the factory). Cheers!

Just going to chime in here. We currently have a 21 big bend. I installed the hood deflector very early on. Always had hood shake really bad at back edge near windscreen.

Hood has side and front weather stripping, only running a 5/16 length of fuel line through firewall hood weather stripping heped minimize shake.

Sorry Joe I got it at Ford but they pulled it off the shelves, due to a couple of them flying off is what I heard.

I
Noticed some hood vibration or flapping before when driving at around 70 mph, but nothing like today, I thought my hood was going to braek in half and fly off. Ford installed a bug deflector yesterday and today while going down the interstate I have never seen anything like it, bounce bounce bounce bounce (in the middle of the hood). I looked on another forum and read some posts that the bug deflector makes it worse and it does

.

Called Dealership taking back in, they checked their system and no one has reported it (hard for me to believe) and no bulletins on it. I did see one post where a guy attached a hose to the hood and it resolved the issue. Ford said they will look at it but only thing they can do is take deflector off, uggh. Anyone else experience this? Hoping I can return the deflector.

Update as of may 4 - posted video - we adjusted the hood stoppers and it helped some, still movement but nothing like it was the other day

Considering getting the Hood Scoop so I don't see the bounce or glare, or a matte black decal, my father did mention to get the hood sprayed underneath with a sound dampening spray, since the top middle part is s0 flexible and just a crap design on Fords part.

have the Aeroskin II deflector, it actually cut down the flexing on my BB
