Yep the rocket scientist at ford designed the under windshield trough to drain all the trash into that space with no way out. The pasenger side you'll notice is partially blocked by your washer fluid container. I partially blocked my drains with some foam lets the water drain but not the trash.

They come on just for opening the door and contribute to draining the battery even if the headlights are never turned on makes no sense to me. Getting battery saving mode from drain if I don't start the car for only 2 days.
