Brightness of the lights isn't the factor. It's the angle. You can have bright lights that are projected below oncoming traffic sight line with no issues.
Absolutely especially when some guy is driving around in his pick up with 500 pounds in the back and he’s got his fog lights on as well. A wall of light shooting off into the sky right in your face totally inconsiderate.

I did the same with forscan, activated Bambi mode so minor on all the time then I went one step further and activated my fog lights to be on with my daytime running lights so I have two extra lights during the day just for that extra added bit of visibility. I pulled into the parking lot the other day when I was meeting my buddy for coffee and he mentioned it right away that my little Bronco stands right out when I pulled in because of the lights. Not something he would typically notice or mention but it did catch his eye.
i did the same, "bambi mode" is for fogs to stay on with high beams though. i enabled that, also fogs on as DRL, all running lights on with DRL, and auto high beam fade on and off.

Sacramento has some of the worst drivers in California. its important for me and my wife (its her car) to be highly visible to the mass of clueless dumb asses, stoners and drunks, phone addicted teens in daddies truck, hell even 80% or semi drivers now are foreigners who cant read, speak, or write English and somehow are behind the wheel towing freight. they are unpredictable and don't like to maintain their lane.

anyways, i was worried about being considerate having swapped the factory fogs for baja S1 pods and tried to make a cutoff stroud from lens filters. they didn't make a huge difference and i took them off. they're bright. get over it.

I always need to remind myself how fortunate I was to be blessed with above average eyesight

Yep we're basically both with the same setup. Mine came with the auto fade high beams which I think was a pretty cool feature.
Personally if I were you I wouldn't feel inconsiderate at all about running all those lights and putting brighter lights in as fog lights. I don't really care what other drivers think of me. I'm in the same boat as you. Doing it for our safety not theirs. That's the key worry about yourself on the road not others. You driving with super bright lights on for your entire drive for your safety is a lot more important than inconveniencing someone else for 2 seconds as they pass by you.

I've even thought of doing the same thing, going with Baja Designs or diode dynamics to upgrade the fogs. LOL
Would love to see some night time pictures of yours on the road to see how much they actually light it up

The BCM is the Body Control Module.
These types of modifications are done by changing the configuration/programming of "the computer." The computer has many modules, all programmed similarly. The BCM is one of those modules.

For that, you need two things:
A) A cable to connect the car to the PC
B) The configuration software.

For Ford, and other brands in the same line, ideally you should have the FORScan software (it's not exclusive to Ford, even though the name might suggest it) and a cable compatible with the software and the car.
The FORScan website lists the recommended compatible cables.

The software is paid, but you can use a free trial version with some limitations, which you can renew as many times as you want.

It allows you to do a lot of things (including messing things up). Pay attention.

If you have any questions, write to me. I'm learning about this. I'm also from Buenos Aires, and I have the cable. @pantera155 is a genius on this subject.

Spanish only: Yo me compré el cable, y ahora quiero tomarme el tiempo para probar mil cosas, entre ellas hacer muchas de las cosas que hizo Pantera! jaja
Hey Timon! It's great to hear from you, even though it's a bit late. I was on a trip in Salta and then got swamped with work. Thanks a million for the info. I'll get around to using Forscan sometime if I still have the BS because it's given me a lot of trouble. I've already looked into the Pantera thing; I used to do that kind of thing too, though I'm not sure I had as much experience. Sending you a hug, and I'll keep reading your posts.
