Yes, you can have the left or right fog light turn on when you turn the steering wheel to the left or right to light up the road while you are turning. If you keep the fog lights on always like I do, this feature serves no purpose, but otherwsie, it works well.
OK, you gotta tell me how to do it!!!

Why do you run your fogs all the time? I find my lights so bright I feel guilty.

Significantly wider coverage on road. I used to build custom headlights, the wider the better. Especially in dark, desolate areas like I live.

They’re not bright to oncoming traffic, as they have a more extreme DOT regulated drop than headlights do (4” drop at 25 feet, as compared to a 2” drop at 25 feet for low beams). However, the width of the fogs, even at about 5 feet from a wall, is significantly more than the low beams.

So, it’s not so much about how bright the lights are, as it is how much coverage they provide. Unfortunately, most modern headlights have very narrow output.

Go back and look up a modified RX350 HID projector. Those, and the old Nissan Murano HIDs have some of the widest output for a bi-xenon projector. Nothing comes close anymore.

Now, with that said, headlights are losing width, and the fog lights are gaining width, whereas, they used to be more bowl shaped… now they have flat, wide outputs. Big bonus to oncoming traffic, and driver visibility.

It seems a bit weird, and backwards to me… but it is what it is.

I’m still debating buying a busted OEM light off eBay and seeing what I can do with the projectors on these things. But… it’s a decent amount of work… and would it be worth it, all things considered… probably not. But still, a thought that rolls around in my brain from time to time.

Well I definitely notice the fogs when they are on, overall my BS has the brightest stock headlights of any vehicle Ive owned.
I am trying to resist anymore thoughts of modifying my BS lol.

Lol I was laughing to myself reading your post, it's almost like you were reading a transcript from my brain. I do used to build retrofit headlights. And I've contemplated picking up a scrap set off of eBay or marketplace wherever I can find and trying to retrofit in a set of Morimoto Mini H1 8.0. I have a set of those projectors laying here that are already paid for by one of my last customers. That's why he originally wanted to go for until he found a set of RX 350s for me to mod in to his existing lights. He told me to keep the mini h1s as basically a bonus for doing a really good job for him. He said I'm sure you can find a use for them. They've literally been sitting here on a shelf for over 2 years. LOL I just don't really have time to build lights anymore.

I would assume it is here in the BCM. This is from the 2025 Maverick......maybe @pantera155 can confirm this is the change he made.

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777131659736-w8
this is probably it, but it also is 100% within the Easy Mode options. I turned it on too via easy mode and can confirm it works...

i forget which setting i have that on currently, but i almost have "anti-cornering" lights - the fogs turn off on the side I'm signaling for! i'm going to tweak it some more and report back in...

love this thread BTW - thanks @pantera155 for posting this!

I don't care for easy mode myself. I like to see what is being changed.

I think the fog lights have to be turned off for this to work. My F150 has this feature built in, but since my fogs are never off, I don't see it working. The only time I see it working is if I turned my fog lights off somehow and then I see it light up while making a left; I can't see the right fog light do anything due to the size and lift on the truck.

I had cornering enabled on my 2010 GTI and it worked with fog lights on (which i always kept on) by dimming the opposite side's light to "emphasize" the direction i was turning in. I feel like it was a better implementation of cornering than Ford has. Even if VW/Audi's way is not all that useful, it was a neat effect.

so this looks like part of the puzzle, but when i look at my as-built data, the FLUC setting was already 2

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777142694847-8f

IIRC, you also need to tell it that your left and right fogs are used for cornering and fogs (and DRL if you want)...

i plan on doing some FORScan work on this rainy day so I'll check it out soon

Yea, it may take some experimenting. It is worth taking a look here, too. This is from the Sync 3 Explorer. It shows it in a different location:

Disregard. The config in the BCM of a 2025 BS does not include those locations.

@VinnyLongPour I just pulled the config off of a random 2025 BS and it shows a 3 there. Interesting that yours shows a 2.

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777143427144-tj
.

I would just wait for @pantera155 to confirm what change(s) he made., but go ahead and FAFO if you want. You can't hurt anything by trying.

definitely odd that mine as built would be a 2, especially just being a Big Bend. doubt the Black Appearance affects that - plus the other required parts for cornering to work were not set, so definitely strange...

so yes, I'm sure the FLUC need to be set to "cornering" to work - but you also need to set each Fog Lamp Usage to include Cornering, and then it will start working.

so here's my current config in easy mode - which i don't recommend anyone model as it currently does "bizarro cornering":

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777146364206-sc

so the other 2 settings correlate with these in the 2025+ as-built data:

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777147033257-84

Ford Bronco Sport Cornering lights enabling 2025+ 1777147131907-gn

IIRC, if you set the LF & RF Fog Usage settings to FOG_CORNERING (1) they will behave "correctly" and work as expected. I will try this tonight when i can park in front of my garage and see the behavior as i change parameters lol...

You are welcome.
I uploaded the configuration in the first post so everyone could see it.:muscle:
