Truck handles much better. Turns and rotates doesn’t sway like it did. Slight hum. Not as quick but faster- more turbo lag. K02’s highly recommend.

18 255/55 fit perfect. Same diameter as 245/65 17.
Good tires and I'm glad you like them but a 255/55/18 is 29" in diameter and a 245/65/17 is 29.5". Maybe you meant same diameter as the optional OEM 235/65/17's. A 245/60/18 is 29.6"

I’m running 235/65/R18 Toyo AT3 which is a 30” tire and seems to be the biggest recommendation on 18” wheels. I love them even though they don’t seem to fill the wheel well the way 245 17’s do. But with my 1.5” lift and 1.5” bigger tire I’m sitting 2.25” higher than stock and have good room for movement when driving on the beach which is my most off roading.

My bad, I gained a 1/2 “ on my factory 225’s . Which only measured 27.5”’s.

255 only measure 28! On the vehicle. They still look small from full on profile. Not sure I could go any bigger without further modification, which I didn’t want to do.

I am talking on the vehicle from the ground. All the info or tire calculators stated exactly what you are.

made a huge difference and highly recommend.

stock tires were awful on the road, rain, and putrid in snow.

okay on dry dirt.

Both to tire jobs look awesome! @Bronco(maybe?) the hitch you have, is that on you ordered after market or came with? I've read in other threads the BL w/tow is supposed to come with it but I didnt see one in ours.

Same hitch here, but orange, as my BS is Cactus grey. Awaiting the Rhino lock to keep it in place permanently. Some people may think BS is not capable, but there are so many videos proving them wrong. Also I am sure some of us has had good experiences off-road. So those kind of additions to our vehicles are not a hype.

I'll have to look into that ford engineer claim, I'd like to get some 255/65/17 or 245/70/17 for my badlands and I'm not a fan of spacer lifts.
The number in the article seems higher than the generally accepted 29.5 so I kept to 245/65/17. I saw someone on here put 255/55/17 on but I haven't seen larger without rubbing

If you put on bigger tires and keep the stock wheels, can you put a spacer behind the wheel? Maybe 1/8" to 1/4" thick?

You can add a wheel spacer but based on some of the other threads you won't gain much clearance from it unfortunately.
