18 255/55 fit perfect. Same diameter as 245/65 17.
Good tires and I'm glad you like them but a 255/55/18 is 29" in diameter and a 245/65/17 is 29.5". Maybe you meant same diameter as the optional OEM 235/65/17's. A 245/60/18 is 29.6"18 255/55 fit perfect. Same diameter as 245/65 17.
No- no rubbing, thankfully about 3/8-.5” clearance at full lock.Any rubbing? Those look awsome!
My bad, I gained a 1/2 “ on my factory 225’s . Which only measured 27.5”’s.Good tires and I'm glad you like them but a 255/55/18 is 29" in diameter and a 245/65/17 is 29.5". Maybe you meant same diameter as the optional OEM 235/65/17's. A 245/60/18 is 29.6"
Tow package ordered with truck. Hitch receiver $30 on Amazon. Can post a link. Both to tire jobs look awesome! @Bronco(maybe?) the hitch you have, is that on you ordered after market or came with? I've read in other threads the BL w/tow is supposed to come with it but I didnt see one in ours.
I'll have to look into that ford engineer claim, I'd like to get some 255/65/17 or 245/70/17 for my badlands and I'm not a fan of spacer lifts.
The number in the article seems higher than the generally accepted 29.5 so I kept to 245/65/17. I saw someone on here put 255/55/17 on but I haven't seen larger without rubbingI'll have to look into that ford engineer claim, I'd like to get some 255/65/17 or 245/70/17 for my badlands and I'm not a fan of spacer lifts.
But does not look bad at all! That wheel well looks better filled!I’m running 235/65/R18 Toyo AT3 which is a 30” tire and seems to be the biggest recommendation on 18” wheels. I love them even though they don’t seem to fill the wheel well the way 245 17’s do. But with my 1.5” lift and 1.5” bigger tire I’m sitting 2.25” higher than stock and have good room for movement when driving on the beach which is my most off roading.![]()
