    Badlands - Overland Build

The dimensions are 41in wide x 26in deep x 12in tall. If I had to build it again I'd probably lower the height to 8 inches and increase the depth by 3 or 4 inches. Due to the seatback angel you're limited on the depth of the drawer. I don't have a sketch but it was very simple to build, glue...

    OEM Crossbars & Smittybilt RTT

I wanted to post this incase anyone else wanted to use the OEM crossbars with a RTT. The fit is terrible because of the narrow design and you'll either have to drill new holes in the tent or mount it to the edges of the bars. While it is secure, I'm not sure how long it will last and I...

    Badlands - Overland Build

Roof top tent has been installed but I'm not very happy with the way I had to mount it. It feels secure but I would prefer the rails to be directly on the metal. Avoid the OEM cross bars if you want a RTT, I'll be replacing them eventually.

    Badlands - Overland Build

Did you have any issues mounting yours? I have a feel the OEM cross bars just suck.

    Badlands - Overland Build

A couple of updates: Rubber mat added to the top and finally mounted in the BS. Work area added to the top of the galley drawer, on a piano hinge. Propane fuel line installed, eventually I'll get a 5Gal tank but for now the 1lbs will work. Later this week I'll be mounting my RTT...

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

parts.ford.com, same suspension assembly but different knuckle with a bushing. I'm guessing that's because of the mavericks cost.

That’s a good question I bet @fordrangerlifts would know the answer.

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

Yeah I get it, I’m not talking about the guys on Facebook throwing 32 inch tires on the BS. There are several posts from other people on this forum going bigger than 29.5 and even a ford engineer claiming a 31 inch tire is the max size for the Badlands. I’m looking at my BS BL in my driveway...

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

You don't think the unibody maverick sharing the same C2 platform and unusual 5x108mm bolt pattern has a similar pitch weld? I wouldn't be surprised if the suspension components were the same. It's just an observation, not stating a fact that they're the exact same. I wanted to add spacers to...

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

Some food for thought, the Ford Maverick guys seem to have much more information on tire sizes. Since the BS and Maverick share the same platform with the same ground clearance I think wheel well is probably the same as well...

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

I'm not sure I follow, a 30.5 inch tire is a 30.5 inch tire regardless.

2022 Badlands lifted on 1.25” HRG Lift and BFG Ko2

Any rubbing while off road or full articulation? Looks great.

    Badlands - Overland Build

I was watching your build thread with a lot of interest! Turned out fantastic! What leg did you use at the of the pull out? I'm still debating using a piano hinge to attach a 20x24 extension to my work area. I left a two inch gap for that extension or a expanding leg.

    Badlands - Overland Build

I'm starting this build journal to keep track of everything I'm doing and maybe give other people some ideas. Here are my build specs: 2022 Badlands Area 51 Tow Package 235/65/17 Wildpeak AT3 tires The main item I've been working on is a drawer system for the back, the dimensions are...

    Big Tires for BS Badlands

The video creator said there was no rubbing with the 255's with the stock suspensions. Given the badlands has an inch lift compared to the Big Bend I think they'll fit great.

Leveling Kit - Increased ground clearance?

Thanks! I really want to hit 10 inches of ground clearance and assume the lowest part of the car is near the front end. Adding a 1.25 inch lift to the front and 245/65/17 might get me there.

Leveling Kit - Increased ground clearance?

Anyone know what kind of increased ground clearance you get from a leveling kit?(if any) Given the front end is lower than the rear I assume you'll get some kind of increase.

Did you have to cut the pinch welds to fit 245/70/17?

    Bronco Sport camp kitchen build

How were you able to get 30 inches of depth? is the box on top of the spare tire cover lip? (so slightly angled towards the rear seats) I'm working on plans right now and measuring 41 x 26 due to the seatback angel and spare cover.
