  1. Off-Roadeo

As far as I know, for a Bronco Sport, the only option is Austin, TX.
  2. Who's got this Yakima cargo basket? Help

Part of the reason I went with this rather than one of the platform alternatives (Yakima, Ford, FrontRunner) is that the Badlands has a moonroof which reduces the dynamic weight to just 100 pounds. The Yakima crossbars plus megawarrior was lighter than the platforms. With only 800+ pounds of...
  3. Who's got this Yakima cargo basket? Help

I have the Yakima MegaWarrior. Fits exactly as you describe, just at the moonroof to just before the hatch. I bought mine through my dealerā€˜s parts dept. even though not on Fordā€˜s website, they could still order it. And cheaper than REI or Yakima direct.
  4. Recovery gear: Hi-Lift Jack, Line, Shovel

That is what I liked with this training. They emphasized all of that plus the appropriate hand placement and body mechanics and thinking practice for using the tool in a safe way. Like with any tool, user behaviour is critical... and often forgotten. And you gotta practice with your tools.
  5. Recovery gear: Hi-Lift Jack, Line, Shovel

This weekend, we took an excellent class on using the Hi-lift Jack (lifting, casting, winching). Given that the BS doesn't / won't have a winch or rock rails, it was really valuable to learn how to use this tool on the Sport (hint: don't use the jack on those pinch welds for the factory tire...
  6. Rock sliders?

I look forward to what you learn
  7. Off-Roadeo

I wonder if you could say more? For both me and my wife to attend, it seems awfully expensive at $700+ for a 10 hour day.
  8. Transceiver Installation thread (Ham, CB, GMRS). Radio unit and antenna installation on Bronco Sport

Earlier, there was talk about trying the antenna on an a-pillar bracket. Any thoughts on this? I’d hate to mess with the electronics if he vehicle but would sure be convenient. I see there Is now a high quality bracket available...
  9. Off-Roadeo

I think this is a certificate sent to people who have ordered the big Bronco which is still on backorder. It gives them a $250 voucher and gives them priority access to register for the Off-Roadeo (over Bronco Sport owners). See...
  10. Off-Roadeo

I was shocked at the price for the "guest" (both of us are on the title but I guess only one is an owner?). And getting to Texas from Seattle. It is disappointing, really. I will likely wait to see if their thinking changes. The wave of big Broncos is still a ways out I guess. In the meantime...
  11. Bronco Off-Roadeo registration open

I think Austin is the only offering Bronco Sports. The others are full Broncos. With today’s announcement that Broncos are significantly delayed again, I wonder if this will push back the opening of the off roadeo?
  12. Bronco Off-Roadeo registration open

No details on dates yet. Just registration for whenever Austin opens up
  13. Bronco Off-Roadeo registration open

I wrote [email protected] three times and finally last week got a reply. They confirmed our vehicle so we are now ready to apply whenever they open up reservations. I think their systems or their people just got overwhelmed by the number of people registering.
  14. Bronco Off-Roadeo registration open

I have written them a few times now with no response. Hopefully, they are just jammed up and will get back to me at some point.
  15. Official CACTUS GRAY Bronco Sport Thread

There is definitely green in it. Like agave cactus. I love the color.
  16. Bronco Off-Roadeo registration open

They couldn’t verify me yet. And it was a regular order. Computer system failing I expect. I believe the only option for us is in Texas. Mixed feelings about that.
  17. Compliments!

A lady chased me down at Costco just now to ask me about my Bronco Sport(Badlands, Cactus Gray). Said she loved everything about it, ā€œlooks nicer than a Land Rover!ā€ Nice!
  18. Skills Class: Western Washington

I heard from Michael Block of Three Amigos Backroad4WD: [email protected] They are going to be holding their first class since the pandemic on June 12-13 on Whidbey Island. It is a skills class: Saturday will be all Hi Lift jack training and all of its uses. Starting with Tread Lightly...
  19. Learning to off-road

I just got an email from Bronco Off-Roadeo that they hope to begin opening up registrations within a month. My wife and I are thinking about it. By then, we will have had both shots and will feel ok about flying Seattle to Dallas/Austin. (Austin is the only spot where they are doing Sports, i...
  20. Transceiver Installation thread (Ham, CB, GMRS). Radio unit and antenna installation on Bronco Sport

i looked on ebay and on the A-Tach site and did not see the mount. Do you have a link? I will look forward to seeing your pictures.
