I have a reservation for a First Edition. I like the configuration it has. But something @Slickrock said made me pause. With the pandemic and the reality of WFH, am I wiser to sit tight for a while? It is leaving me pondering.
Question. Does anyone know how long you can hold onto a reservation...
Cyber Orange and Red are both premium colors and late availability. My dealer is looking into how much of a delay It causes.
same with the cargo management shelf. He was told that option can add months to an order. Surely that is something you can buy later. Ford made such a big deal of that...
any thoughts on color? Is triple coat worth it? Orange is nice but $$. Also, do you think PPF is worthwhile? I have it on another car. Washington state has lots of branches and gravel, so I am looking at that.
One risk of something brand new is not being able to see one, sit in one or test drive yourself. The reports based previews and specs and Reveal Day looks have been encouraging. But it would be good for someone like CNET/Road Show or Car and Driver doing a drive and hands on review. Does anyone...
yeah, that would be a deal breaker. Over on the Bronco6G forum, they mentioned Granger Ford in Iowa: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2021-bronco-dealers-no-adm-x-plans-special-discounts-master-list.2010/page-37#post-77466 and there is a spreadsheet showing various options for dealers
Looking at the configurator, it looks like the much touted "cargo management system" is an option.
And the tent option looks weird. I get it that it lets you make the car part of the tent for storage and such but...
I went through the configurator to assess difference between First Edition and Badlands with Badlands package. From what i could see, First Edition includes
Roof Rack Crossbars
Decals and grille
Windshield Wiper De-icer
Dual-Zone electronic Automatic Temp Control
Remote Start System...
Auto week (https://www.autoweek.com/news/trucks/a33295679/ford-bronco-official-photos-price-under-30-thousand/) says,
The base Bronco Sport, obviously a little lower, has a ground clearance of 7.8 or 7.9 inches, approach angle is 21.7 degrees, breakover is 18.2 degrees and departure angle is...
Are you concerned about something that no one has seen/driven yet? I’d like to see something like Road Show first drive. I’m sure Ford has done their work but an independent review seems important. I wonder when they will get their hands on it?
I haven’t heard from my dealer yet. I am a little concerned about what is included. another thread mentioned that first edition is missing some festures from badlands. There are a number of grayed out boxes in the first edition spec sheet. Confusing.
I thought the First Edition would be a good way to go. But looking at this, it doesn’t seem worth the extra thousands! A few extra bells and whistles and paint but missing more useful options you can get on Badlands. I will likely switch when time comes. But there is no rush I don’t think.
