I heard from Michael Block of Three Amigos Backroad4WD: [email protected] They are going to be holding their first class since the pandemic on June 12-13 on Whidbey Island. It is a skills class:
The Saturday looks great. Sunday (winching) does not seem as relevant to the Sport for now since I don't think the Sport can handle an attached winch.
If interested, the info is not on their website so you would want to write him directly.
- Saturday will be all Hi Lift jack training and all of its uses. Starting with Tread Lightly, stuck assessment, physiology and anatomy of the Hi Lift Jack, basic lift from various locations, casting with the Hi Lift, winching standard and advanced rigging with synthetic winch line.
- Sunday will be powered winching. Again starting with Tread Lightly, stuck assessment, physiology and anatomy of an electric winch, winching hand signals, single line pull, double line pull, redirect advanced rigging using Safe Xtract methods.
- Both days will run 6-8 hours in length depending on class size and understanding of methods being presented. This is a full on hands on class not a clinic, adults learn best by doing. Class size will be limited to 14 clients between two instructors to provide the best experience possible.
- They will supply all recovery equipment for the training
