Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport
yeah that was @Lisa Sue on post #43 of this thread. i ask because dealerships are useless and Ford's website also said the keypad isn't compatible with badlands models but i installed one on our 2024 and was able to use ForScan to enable it and program it.

was it not an option when building the 2025+?
Yes, it was Lisa! The stick on one was an option when building or can add it on separate.

Stevel, Although there are no options for a keyless entry pad integrated in the pillar on the Ford Accessories site, my dealership told me it would work in my 2025 BS OBX (Sasquatch). Although I was skeptical, I had them order it and paid with points. They had it for almost an entire day and decided that they needed both fobs to program it. It still did not work so they messaged Ford. They indicated that the first response was not clear so they had to ask them again. Bottom line, it still doesn't work but it looks very nice. It is going to be removed next week and replaced with my original pillar. I considered the stick-on but since the battery can't be accessed, it will no longer work when the battery dies. So it is a $150 disposable chincy stick-on wireless keypad. Naa, not getting it.

Glad you posted this as it answers a different question I had - Are the wires there? I know they are shown on the 2025 BS wiring diagrams. Apparently the answer is 'yes ' as the lights on it seem to work and the dealer actually connected it. It most likely has the wires included so various replacement parts in the wiring harness are the same for all years

I understand that it is wireless and does not use cables. Works with a battery

You can definitely lock your fob in the vehicle. Set the fob on the back seat to retrieve something, then close and lock the doors. Don’t ask how I know.

I haven't been able to do that. If the key fob is inside my '25 BS, the doors refuse to lock.

They’ll also not unlock from the outside, either. Saw a vid of a guy that camps in his and was concerned that the door could be unlocked and opened if the fob was in the vehicle while he was sleeping. Luckily, it doesn’t.

Just for clarification that’s a different case… driver and keyfob are both inside the vehicle with the doors locked (and presumably all windows rolled up)

I agree. However, I -CAN- lock the door using the keypad if the key is inside (I bought a faraday bag for this, but found I don't need it - locks with keypad even if not in bag) - but I cannot lock door by pressing on door handle or using the other keyfob.

If you can routinely lock your fob in the vehicle (and not inside an RFID case) and not by using the external keypad (if available), then you have a legitimate reason to have the dealership correct the issue

That is as designed and documented in the owners manual. Locking the keyfob in the vehicle using the external keypad is a useful feature

And using the faraday bag you have makes the feature even more useful

That makes sense. When I'm driving, my doors are locked from outside access, and I obviously am inside the vehicle with my key.

The key (no pun intended) obviously has to do with how the door is locked with the driver and key fob inside... either through the auto lock when the car hits X mph, or locked via the manual lock on the inside of the door.

Perhaps the restriction has to do with alternative ways to be able to unlock the door.
