Anyone tried to put a full size Sasquatch tire in the spare tire compartment yet? I know it doesn't fit with the carpet in there. But folks are able to put in a KO2 in a 245 by removing the carpet, so hoping the Sasquatch tire will fit in there as well. It's a 235/65/17, but apparently a large 235.

Thanks!

235/65-17 fits with no issues on a 21-24. I would assume the same on a 25.

There is evidence, to say it won’t. Specifically, Melissa Clarks article, in bronco nation. But and I’ll emphasize, but she had a preproduction 2025, which may have had an effect on either the spare tire well itself or the tire.
So, until someone posts a picture, of a 2025 Sasquatch, with an OEM 235/65/17, in the spare tire well, it’s still debatable as to if it will fit or not. If I had to place a bet one way or the other, I’d say yes.
does anyone have a picture of a 2025, non-Sasquatch, Badlands, with of a 245/65/17, in the well? That may lend some Creedence to the idea, that the OEM 235/65/17, will fit in the Sasquatch.

Selling the BS without a matching full size spare is one thing, but if they changed the design of the well so much that you couldn't even put one in there if you wanted would be ridiculous.

From what I've gathered, the spare is a 225/65/17 on the Sas. Also, the fitted Goodyear 235's are reportedly on the large size for that spec. I did see somewhere where someone trimmed the foam well for width and fitted a factory 235 nicely. I'll be trying some different things when mine (finally) arrives. Since I'm planning to dump the OEM jack anyway that may gain a little depth. Long term goal is to move to a 245/70/16 if I can work out all the geometry.

Melissa's article is what has me wondering. But she may not have wanted to rip out the carpet as it was not really her vehicle. I would really like to hear from someone with a Sasquatch package that has tried to put a full size in the tire well. Anyone out there??

Can you link the article so we know what you are referring to?

Specs to ‘25 Bronco Sport available Goodyear tires

I believe the Goodyear 235/65R17 tire diameter is ~29”, Section Width ~9.4“

The ‘21-‘24 OE Falken Wildpeak AT3w OEM 235/65R17 (OEM part# 59000690) tire diameter is 29.1”, Overall width ~9.6”, which fits in the Bronco Sport spare wheel well

There is more discussion here about fitment:

Gonna have to wait for a 2025 owner to put an available Goodyear tire into the spare wheel well to know for sure

When you zoom in it doesn't appear that there is the foam/felt liner underneath which is all that was required to be removed to put a 245 in there before. It does require you to manipulate it some though to drop. Will be interesting to see. Hopefully someone will try that has one.

You’re right 245/65 @ 33lbs psi “dropped” right in on my ’21 BL after removing the felt liner. Just don’t try to get it out — it stuck tight. If you take out about 10 psi it is moveable, so make sure you carry an inflator to get the spare topped off when you’re going to use it (<lmao> at my foolishness).

I'll say this. Had my 2025 BL Sasquatch less than a month and got a flat. Had to order the replacement tire cause not even the Ford dealership here carries them. Walmart was by farrrrrrr the best price. Had them delivered to my home and put on at a Mavis. Had to drive on the spare for 4 days until my new one came in. Absolutely no adverse driving issues on the spare. On the road you don't even notice it. Unless you just reek of OCD and have to have everything matching...the full size spare (which on mine is the stock Scorpions that normally come on the BLs) is more than adequate for a few days driving if you can't find a replacement immediately.

I have a 235/70R17. After taking out all the foam and padding in my '21 Badlands, I was able to squeeze it down in the hole. It is a tight fit, and sticks up a little above where the original 225/65R17 did, but I can live with it.
