I cant believe China got away with only 10%

so far I've heard Canada retaliated with a matching 25% on American imports and china did the same with 10%

let the tariff wars begin!

China is getting 10% on top of the already existing tariffs.

Mexico reaches deal with Trump to avert tariffs for one month.. Mexico agreed to reinforce its northern border with 10,000 members of the National Guard in order to combat migration and the trafficking of illegal drugs

Lets see how that works out. The mexican government is a bit controlled by the drug cartels.

I’m in Canada. So I’m buying all my parts straight from Mexico. Hoping to bypass this stupidity.
The irony is that the raw material for your Mexican parts (eg aluminum) are mined in Canada and pass from Canada to the US for processing into ingots / alloys that then would be purchased by Mexico to stamp the parts which then would be assembled and packed into paper cartons made from US trees and shipped back to you in a Boeing aircraft made in Seattle, fueled by aviation fuel refined in Texas made from Canadian oil from Alberta.

My apologies for making a new thread, I did not see this one was still somewhat active! The news today about the 25% tarriff going into effect is worrying me about BS prices, :(

let’s wait and see if tariffs go into affect

orders placed prior to tariffs going into affect will be the price negotiated with the dealership

It does seem fairly certain this time: “tariffs would go into effect on April 2, the US would start to collect on April 3. The tariffs will be on top of levies already in place, the tariffs would result in $100 billion of new annual revenue to the US.
tariffs are being cast as “permanent” and no exceptions will be negotiated
Shares of General Motors Co., Ford Motor Co. and Stellantis NV dropped in after-hours trading, with GM and Ford declining more than 5% as of 6 p.m. in New York.”

It may have been just another tactical press conference. We’ll see. Lots of pressure on a lot of people.

That doesn't happen in a vacuum.
