Some people never quite graduate from High School do they? Perhaps, when they see what your Sport is capable of, it makes them think what they could have done with the extra 15 grand they spent.?

As a proud owner of a Bronco Sport (love mine to death) I do think that Ford botched the rebrand by releasing it before the full size which created some animosity.
I also think they should’ve named it the “Bronco II” rather than Bronco Sport given the history of the cars. (Bronco II was a compact SUV that didn’t have the “truck-like” features of OG Bronco)
I'm also very satisfied with my Bronco Sport (Heritage) however there is no chance i'd do anything more than very mild trails with it. The BS is far more car-like than truck-like. Even with the 4 cyl. and the upgraded transmission, i just don't feel like i'd be confident doing the same type of off-roading with a unibody vehicle that i did with my '99 Disco II or '01 Wrangler (both of which were pretty stock).

A buddy of mine had a Bronco II and it felt far more truck-like than our Bronco Sports But, that's just me. i've gotten less aggressive in my old(er) age.

I was thinking this as well! I think some full size owners are a little salty that thy paid for something that they don't necessarily need and they realize they overspent... Buyer remorse maybe?

I love the look of the 2 door Bronco OBX but I don't like the $60K price tag the way I want it.

I think it's written in our genes. We evolved living in small, homogeneous groups whose members were absolutely dependent on each other for survival. Belonging is an incredibly powerful human need. In addition, the biggest threat most humans faced in that evolutionary period came from other groups of humans.

What it comes down to is this: the only thing many humans seem to need more than a group to belong to is a group to exclude.

The fact that the full size Bronco is more readily available, I am considering selling the BS BL for a manual Black Diamond. I feel that the manual tranny Bronco could be cancelled. It was limited availability early in Sept but not anymore.

What's funny the folks who don't even drive their full size Broncos off-road are the one I got some shit over my BS. The folks who off-road, I went out with once, admired the capability of the BS BL. Although I didn't even attempt some of the antics you see on videos online.

Sounds like Ford did a genius job marketing this. Has people in both camps talking about who’s vehicle is more cabable, best gas mileage, costs less, can tow more.

Why aren’t people comparing the BS to a Mustang?

As said earlier, there is bashing in pretty much every Facebook group about "lesser" trims or models. I had a V6 Challenger and Charger in the past, and always got heat for it from the V8 guys. Had a Ram 1500, always got heat from the 2500/3500 guys. Had a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the 2.4L, always got heat from the 3.2L guys.

It's the same everywhere, unfortunately. I was a member on a FB group for awhile, but got frustrated seeing everyone with the 1.5L BS get attacked/told they made a bad purchase for not getting the 2.0L. I'm a member of a Bronco group, and see daily comments about BS not being a Bronco or being an "Escape with an Otterbox". I've just come to accept that there are people online that just don't care how comments affect some people.

I enjoy my BSBB. Do I wish I had the higher trimmed OBX? Sure. Would I trade in just for those "niceties"? Nah. As an added note, I don't mind the 1.5L at all, and definitely appreciate my 35mpg on the highway/33mpg average.

I would have liked the 2.0 Eco Boost but i did the Pedal Max install last week and on 60% Stock setting it really woke up the 1.5 Eco Boost!!The throttle response is right now feels like it picked up 30 horsepower or more!!And i had a 21 F-150 Crew Cab 4X4 with 3.5 Eco Boost 400 Horsepower and 500 lb.ft. torque and 3.55 gears before i got the Bronco Sport!!And i missed the power of the F-150 but not as much now after installing the Pedal Max!! Flowmaster FX Muffler axle back is next and sitting in the garage to make it sound better and get rid of the puny factory exhaust tips!!

I already lived this with my 2.3 Mustang. Trust me, when the Mustang came out with the 2.3 turbo in 2015, I was the FIRST person to say "Hell nah...no 4 banger on a Mustang for me". But when I rented one for a road trip, I was thoroughly impressed. Is it as fast as the Coyote? No. But the coyote is a full blown race car, lets be honest. There are a very niche, miniscule percentage of cars, actually on the road, that are faster than it. I don't need a full blown race car. Much like I don't need a vehicle that can scale the Swiss Alps. Honestly? I could CARE LESS what the V8 guys think or the full blown Bronco guys think (or even the Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator people).

From just about everybody else, I get a sincere kudos. And that's good enough for me.
