These are some great pics. You did a great job of investigating. Unfortunately, I still don't see anything clear cut.
If you have no DTC or the CEL isn't on, I would have a tough time saying you coughed up some transmission fluid. Not even sure if thats possible without an evident hose...
Love a member who comes in HOT.
Ditch the carpet.
I'm also going to give you the best piece of advice for a new owner. Get the PPF kit....AT LEAST for your C pillars. They will scratch easily and be very noticeable...
Really hot and really humid weather. Salty too. I've seen Interstates go about 3 years. Maybe a little longer, depending on how much its driven. But crappy batteries don't last long around here.
I feel kind of awkward here a bit, commenting, as a Badlands owner. But I just wanted to say, FWIW, it won't be long before 3 cylinder engines are commonplace, and the secret sauce is perfected. We all know that ICE's are just going to continue its trend of economization, and its next natural...
Lots of battery talk lately. The BS has been out for 3, 4 years now. Plenty of time for people to need a new one and get them replaced. So got me thinking that I wanted to see what the different experiences have been on that.
Please don't answer unless it applies to your BS.
Also if you...
This is actually a great thread. Battery maintenance is so critical nowadays.
A general rule of thumb on batteries is replacement 'about' every two years. Not sure when you purchased yours, but does it still have the OEM motorcraft battery? If it does, it bodes well.
I didn't even know it was a thing when I bought the car. Wigged me out for the first couple of weeks. Now, like you say, I don't even notice it.
However, I am concerned about the PCM programming for alternator recharge, for it to work seamlessly, even when the battery is a bit older.
The Rivians are so nice. That would be my preference in an EV. We've also seen a few Tesla trucks now. But they just look so awful. Can't believe that aesthetic would ever stick.
Agreed.
I too, cringe every time someone puts down some modification that someone did or generally cast aspersions at someone else's vehicle or setup. That isn't what this site is supposed to be about. Its just troll behavior.
I think most of us like these sites because there is usually a lot...
I'll take the last train over. Meet me at the station. 😅
In all seriousness, congrats. Lord knows, it crosses my mind everytime I see a full size Bronco
Was about to choose one of your amazon rec's here, when this flashed across the bottom of the screen. For $22, I thought maybe it will do the trick. We'll see.
Take it from someone who has fiddled with his Mustang suspension for years.
The manufacturer designers take an awful long time to make sure you have a quality ride. Whenever you fiddle with your factory suspension in the name of chasing an aesthetic, ride quality will suffer.
Unless you're...
link, please. How pricey is it? because most of the good ones are pricey. i was thinking about one of the 'viking' branded ones at Harbor Freight. they aren't too expensive. but I want something thats going to be accurate. thanx
The 2.3 is sucha a "mini-monster". I hemmed and hawed over a base Bronco with a 2.3 for a while before deciding I couldn't swing that much extra on a vehicle. But it delivers so much power, for such a small engine. I thought the 2.0 would be a bit similar in that regard, due to the good work...
Cops beat the snot out of their cars. But I'm with you on both the PTU and tranny at 30K. Will have to investigate further, when I get there, if I do anything other than OEM recommendation, which I doubt.
