Good to see that some Ford dealerships are doing a good job.

Refreshing.

When I bought my 21 BL, first Ford I'd bought in decades, they were new and scarce. My local dealer had one I would have bought on the showroom floor. I asked to drive it, since obviously I never have. They wouldn't even allow me to test drive. I'm not a deadbeat tire kicker. I had a Mellon Bank, 1 Wall St., checkbook in my pocket. So I wrote them off.

Bought one from a dealer about 85 miles away that my son buys hundreds of F350's from. Easy deal, fair price and they give free oil changes for life. Not worth driving that far for an oil change, so I decided to take it to the local dealer. I attempted to make an appointment and wait and they told me they don't do that. I can bring it in in the morning and their only guarantee is that it will be ready that day. I advised that this doesn't work for me, that I'm flexible, just tell me when to be there and I will show. Just said they don't do that. I stated "You understand you are forcing me to take my vehicle somewhere else for service." The guy could care less. So I go to Jiffy Lube.

Last month I purchased a 23 BL. Didn't consider my local dealer.

This dealer owned three dealerships in OKC metro area and has since sold them to the Cavendar family out of Arkansas. They seem to have a good reputation so I'll give them a try for service. Unforutunately good service anywhere anymore seems to the exception rather than the rule. Worst case scenario if my BL becomes inoperative I'll put it on a car hauler and take to my selling dealer 85 miles away because I know it won't sit there for weeks. Loyalty is a two-way street. I will go out of my way to support a dealer who treats me right.

Under new ownership. Remodeled their waiting room, new furniture, new Keurig machine with available k-cups and paper cups. Still not up to VW and BMW local dealers standards who also provided donuts.
Those things are nice, but my first experience showed they had work to do. Shortly after they took over ownership. I had "The Works" done. I monitor my tire pressure daily, using Torque Pro. My tires were low (32 instead of 35) on the morning of the scheduled visit, so I didn't pump them up since I had the scheduled Works. After the oil change and return of my car, the tire pressures were still all low. So I know the Works' safety checks were not completed, and I'm not even sure that the tires were rotated. They did get a sour review from me, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt for my next visit, when I did get proper servicing. They always send emails and phone calls begging for reviews after every service.

This new owner of the dealership owns several other dealerships including a couple of Fords. Their on line reviews of service at their other dealerships are very concerning, and I may be switching dealerships for servicing my BS BL, if it ever gets built.

Doesn't try to upsell me. I have had several Ford trucks and SUVs in for both routine and unexpected service. They are knowledgeable and personable. They also went to bat for me with Ford on my wife's 2018 Edge that needed an engine.

Waiting it out. My BS went in for rear end noise and they still can not figure it all out for a complete repair but the dealer has advised they have 4 others with the same problem. Dealer says they are waiting on Ford to come up with a fix (recall or TSB) and Ford Customer Service says they need the car at the dealer to assist in diagnosing. What happened to real mechanics? Figure it out and fix my car. Very Frustrated.

There was an excellent Ford dealership/service dept. in Escalon CA, but unfortunately, they sold the dealership back to Ford and Ford didn't reopen it. So, I took my Bronco Sport to Tracy Ford to have a recall done for parking lamp flicker. I'm heading back to the dealership today for the 3rd time because now the headlights aren't working. Fingers crossed they get it right this time, but my confidence in them is gone. I have a recall that needs to be done on my F250, but I don't think I'll be taking it there. It's so hard to find a good service department.

2021 BL. Last week did the TSB for the wireless charging issue and a SSM for power steering issues upon startup.

Both were fixed. They didn't think they would get it done the day I brought it in, so they gave me a loaner from Enterprise.

My service rep kept me informed via text on the progress. Can't complain so far.

We bought our 21 BS/BB from a dealer about 1 hour south of us because the local dealer did not have what we wanted in stock. We take the truck to the local dealer for service & Maintenace since we have a maintenance plan on it, & they have been OK. Once the maintenance plan runs out I will start doing the service on it.

Friendly Ford in Las Vegas. Not so friendly! Bought a Bronco Sport from them. Rear brakes were grinding bad whenever I backed up. Still under warranty and brought it in. 1st time they said it was OK for that. 2nd time I brought it inand they finally fixed it.
Then I ve been trying to get my port fixed, and computer for navagation fixed. First time they said it was my phone. Used my phone on another car and worked great. Went back again, only 14,000 miles, said they want to hold my car for 7 weeks to just look at it. Warranty only covered car loaner for 10 days! I left.
Went to Old Country Ford and they gave me an appointment in 3 days. Now fixing my car.
Bottom line, Friendly Ford not Friendly at all!!!

I didn't say that I indulged in the donuts. I didn't, and I take my coffee black.
I'm a type 2 diabetic; hence my response.

You drink coffee the way it is supposed to be; me too.

I bought mine from Melloy Ford in Los Lunas, NM. They had one on order so they modified it for me and I only had to wait a couple of months. No issues so far.

I took my 6.0 Superduty to Power Ford here in Albuquerque, and they were the recommended "Bullet Proof Diesel Installer" for this area. The mechanic owns one and knew everything about them. It cost a lot of money, but so far I'm very happy. While there, I was looking at their BS and they had a $5,000 dealer markup on it. Carmax was buying them at retail and selling them like hotcakes with a $6,000 markup. I was expecting a fight with Melloy Ford about the price we'd agreed on, but they kept their word.

I went in to Melloy a few weeks ago, and found out my appointment was for a week later. I said %$^&, and the guy said "I think we can squeeze you in" They were done in less than 1 hour.

Sorry to hear about your issue, but diagnosing problems requiring repairs that have engineering and fleet-wide warranty implications is not easy. Sure, a mechanic might be able to figure out what's wrong and repair it, at least temporarily. Then you'd be back for the same issue down the road. It behooves both your and Ford for them to get the repair right the first time.

That is exactly where I am. Ford had it for 3 weeks. Changed the rear differential and still same issue. I can not put a full tank of gas in my car because of the grinding in the rear. Not sure why but the problem is there at every single fill up. New vehicle and can't even fill up the gas tank.

And I meant mechanic at the dealer - FORD Mechanic. Find the problem and fix it. I can't even take my car out of town right now and that is an issue.

Local Dealer in Alamogordo, NM has an absentee owner. He is in California so he has no idea how BAD they are here. I questioned an $800 (in warranty) repair, so they refunded and told me they "have the right to refuse service" so I should never come back on their property for anything. I would NOT recommend VISION Ford for anything. Four check engine repairs in 5K miles, all "in warranty", then the 5th time for same item, they found a crushed canister and charged me for repair. BS owned by my wife and I, both age 70 plus and they said we "should not drive off road". Nearest Dealer now 4.5 hours away for service. Lesson learned, don't complain. By the way the Owner told them to refund.
