I have been following this thread. I am so very sorry you are going through this pain. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer, they did surgery to remove part of a lung and a rib. But he didn't leave the hospital. For him it was relatively quick.
I am not very religious, but would hope for...
Doesn't try to upsell me. I have had several Ford trucks and SUVs in for both routine and unexpected service. They are knowledgeable and personable. They also went to bat for me with Ford on my wife's 2018 Edge that needed an engine.
I am trying to find the right steering wheel for our Badlands.
I think it is this one:

However, I believe you can't buy a leather steering wheel without adaptive cruise control buttons, but we don't have adaptive.

One of my daughters also has the cross...
This must be a genuine concern. I am on a Chevy Colorado discussion forum (the BS is my wife's, my truck is a Colly), and there was a long discussion that started a few days ago about locking gas caps.
We bank with Navy Fed and USAA. Their auto financing processes are amazing. Went with NFCU for the BS as they had a better rate by .25%. Was going to use them for my Colorado, but the dealer came back with a really great offer through one of their lenders.
Drove the 1.5, can't remember which edition. We didn't hate it and it would likely have been sufficient, but if we were spending the money on this, I wanted the most capable we could get. Took a while, but I found a dealer ordered BL in red. I was shocked and put a deposit that day. Came in...
