1. Ask your dealership if this applies to your VIN, it significantly helped my iPhone 15 Pro wireless charging: TSB 22-2485-A0 Wireless Charging WACM software updates (Causal Part: 19J235, Condition Code: 04),
Ford TSB 22-2485 Wireless Accessory Charger Inoperative/Poor Performance With Magsafe Charging iPhones

2. Make sure your iPhone case is not interfering with wireless charging (try the iPhone on the wireless charge pad without the case). My case had no impact on charging.

3. Make sure your iPhone Is not sliding around on the wireless charge pad. Probably won’t happen as much with your Pro Max.

That being said, the Bronco Sport is not all that efficient. I’ve posted the watts on another thread, don’t remember exactly but was in the 5-10w range and some of that goes to heat as it’s not very efficient.

Your Pro Max is happy on a 20w adaptor maybe up to 27w I recall (although check apples specs bc charging over 20W may heat up iPhone battery and reduce battery life or so I’ve read).

So you will never be all that pleased with the charge rate sitting on the Bronco Sport’s wireless charge pad. I quit using it.

is there a way to turn off the wireless charge pad? I don't really use it anyways.

I recall there is a fuse for that but there’s not a huge need to disable unless you are putting something on the pad that meets the Qi charging standard

Here’s what I think of the usefulness of the phone charging pad. It’s the stable for a stuffed Bronco! If you look close, you can see the cable I use if the phone needs charging. ?

I have found with newer iPhones that can use wireless charging they only work intermittently because they do not lay flat on the wireless charger mat because of the camera sticking out the back of the phone. As soon as you hit a bump or turn the iPhone slides off the spot where it needs to be to charge and the phone stopped charging unless you reposition it. Like others have said if I want to charge the phone in the car I will use a plug in cable which you need to do to use Apple CarPlay anyway.

Have to agree. It’s a pretty Mickey Mouse charging setup, especially for newer phones with the bump out on the case to accommodate the camera. I did change from an Apple case to a Caudabe brand case and it is a bit better. YMMV.

I tried mine a few times but decided to get the Apple wireless pad and leave it in the console. The Apple charger has a great magnet and can fully charge in about two hours. I use a wireless adapter so I can just leave the cell phone in the console. I have the same setup in my 350Z and the Porsche.

well there is if you want to use the area as a cubby for your wallet, or anything metal.

My Motorola Razr+ charges just fine even when folded and in a case.
