Are the side marker bulbs LED?
According to the manual.

Replacing the Side Marker Bulbs
Side marker bulbs are LED and are not serviceable. See an authorized dealer if they fail.

If not LED, do the lenses pop off or does the bulb change have to be done from the back?
I don't recall if they were LED. The entire set up pops off and u replace it with the new full set up. It's just unplugging the old and plugging the new. Not sure if that answered your question. I can get u the photos of the old and new if you'd like.

Does the side light marker come off when pried front to back or back to front to loosen the clip?

It is from the owners manual but the owners manual isn’t always reality lol
They may be LED.
BS manual.

2. Pull the lamp out. E349260
3. Remove the bulb holder from the lamp assembly by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out.
4. Disconnect the bulb from the electrical connector.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

It comes out the front, but you have to get behind them to compress the ”arrowhead” clips that hold them in. I found a pair of pliers like one of these was the best tool for the job.

Will this work to detach the glove box to change out the cabin air filter?

I have no idea why they made it so hard to detach and it looks like it'll break after some time.

Maybe that's why the dealer charges $100 to replace that filter.

Hmmm I think you are doing something incorrect because with just light pressure using your fingers and perhaps a set of pliers for the damper the glove box detaches easily to gain access for replacement of the cabin filter.

Perhaps try using a strong light to see the mechanism and a couple practice attempts and you will quickly master the procedure.

here’s the manual steps and a YouTube video

Disconnect damper on right side
Squeeze damper end (with pliers if needed) to pull damper off
Release glovebox stops on both sides

Optional: add couple drops of tea tree oil on filter membrane (or Lavender oil)

Note: Air Flow arrow on cabin filter points down towards Passenger floor

I was able to finally do something, although nothing too exciting.

I drove 720 miles to get an oil change!

So I bought it near Houston, which is about 3 hours from me. The location I bought it from includes two free oil changes/tire rotations. Is that a dumb idea to save a buck? Yeah, maybe, but I also planned to do some road tripping.

It didn't go as planned but it was nice getting out of the house and driving around. I also did some sight seeing and tried some new food. I ended up spending a little time in Houston, driving to San Antonio, then driving back home.

They also suggested I change my cabin air filter. I'm at 9,800 miles and it looks pretty dirty already. Thoughts??
