Before I bought a 2021 Badlands I spoke with my mechanic friend and he told me the motor and transmission in that model were proven technology and should be trouble-free. And it has been at 55,000 miles. The problem with CR is they did not differentiate between the 3 cylinder and the 2.0 in the...
I've got the JCR Cat and two side skids ready to install. The Cat skid seems light but the two sides are 64lbs combined. Did you notice a MPG hit after installing them? Thinking of maybe putting only the driver's side one one.
When I first saw the brown colored interior on my brother's OB, I didn't care for it. But when I bought my Badlands, it grew on me quickly and even my wife commented she liked the color and materials. Now I love it. The seatback area with the logo though is brown on mine. I wonder if Ford meant...
Paid cash for my 21 Badlands two years ago. I had a nice 20 Tucson that I traded but it was paid for as well so I didn't have to borrow any money. We are now completely debt free with house and cars paid for. It's amazing how much money you can bank when you don't have payments. We're big fans...
That looks like a lot of fun. Were there any spots you thought the Sport might not make it?
My husband and I have taken my BSBL off-road in the San Juans the last three years. This year I hit several trails that I hadn’t previously… the whole Alpine Loop, Governor’s Basin, and to the top of...
Cool write up and what appears to be a very fun ride. It's funny how people are surprised to see the Sports where normally only Jeep and other high clearance vehicles go. When I took my Badlands up to Gemini Bridges outside of Moab a side by side with a family of four passed me. A little while...
I did the 1.25 inch leveling kit which means doing just the front end. And now I put on some Toyo Open Country AT3 245/65/R17 and it looks great. Last May I did the White Rim Rd in Canyonlands and it performed well even without the new Toyos, but I'm about to put JCR Cat Plate and Evap canister...
For me, it would have to be the White Rim Rd, in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. 100 miles of bumpy, dusty and sandy roads with some challenging climbs and it was a blast. Spent two nights camping. Pic is of my first night at Labyrinth campsite. I was the only one there.
Do you remember the specific route? I spend a month in Moab every summer and would like to drive the course on my own. Last May I did the White Rim Rd. It was a blast.
