Water pumps can fail on any engine on the road today, it’s not just a 1.5L issue.
Even the invincible 2.0L has reported water pump failures. What’s the big deal? It will be replaced under warranty.
Getting tired of all the 1.5L haters here.
Some owners report they are on their 4th water pump … they get a bit upset when the 60k warranty expired now the cost is on them.

No one is hating on anything.. read my post.. it’s just as factual info as possible posted for those owners that need that info.

anyone on their 4th water pump needs to find a new dealer - dealers should be following Ford’s updated procedure to do a full flush after the swap for the updated one.

That’s seems to be why the 2 (alleged) Ford Techs as described on an earlier post are dubious the root cause is casting sand

Never heard anyone call the 2.0L invincible lol. Just seems there's a good number of lemons out there. I didn't buy a new car to be taking it back to the dealership and driving around a loaner. That was just my advise. Not being hateful.

Therein lies the problem. Finding a good dealership is really hard. I've never found one I trust.
