I bet 90% of Sports sold are 1.5L or pretty close. Of course there are more 1.5Ls with issues. There are a helluva lot more of them.
Ford Bronco Sport Water pump dies {filename}

all I'm saying is, I've never heard of anyone with a badlands who had a failed water pump, failed fuel injectors, or cracked catalytic converter.

There are a couple owners posting their water pump for 2.0L model failed but likely those were just defects from the water pump manufacturer

Now ive heard of a couple, if it's manufacturer defect still a huge issue.
There’s generally a small # of defective parts in large production runs
Not sure how many engines that same 2.0L pump is used on

Hard to say, hopefully it was discontinued or dealerships actually practice the flushing of cooling systems when doing warranty replacements.

I know for the 1.5L pump there was an part number A and a revised part number B. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes.

Fingers crossed for the 2025+ models.

What is this thread even about again?

Both the A and B 1.5L pumps are known leakers .. rumor is a recall or fix is coming sometime in 2025 for the 1.5L water pump issue.

I believe someone posted recently the 2025s use a different water pump.

Careful what you say around here dude.

I was under the impression the B pumps were still leaking from poor flushing procedure and loose casting sand still being in the system. But idk.

Fact: Quite a few 1.5L owners having water pump failures confirmed both A and B water pumps fail.

opinion: more than one Ford Tech disputes the issue is only loose casting sand but that’s their opinion.

Ford really needs a solid fix for the 1.5L water pump issue.

classic tell tale sign of low coolant or thermostat stuck open. get rid of that thing before warranty is up
So if you have a problem with your Badlands and mention it on here we should tell you to get rid of it before the Warranty is up?

Get ready to be insulted. What he resorted to when I called him out, on the same thing, in another thread.
I resorted to insults? Look maybe you took my initial reply the wrong way. It's just you're like the 3rd person to be upset over a thing I said. Again it's just my opinion. Let's get over it.
