I agree. I went into my dealer and was going to buy off the lot and the dealer lead to me to do the build. Ultimately, I'm happy with the decision and glad I'll have what I want. I just got confirmation on 2/24 for an OB with just Assist+ added on so, not a huge shock that there is no production scheduled yet. But, the unknown is the hardest. I'm assuming the dealers are as frustrated with the process as we are. It's all in Ford's hands now..For you, I do hope you’re able to get it that soon! It’s been an unusual couple years so I largely give Ford a pass on the wait time. But honestly? If they truly want to move to a build to order model, and why not everybody should experience getting exactly what they want in a new car purchase, they’ll have to significantly improve the process & timeline. For build to order to be successful I think Rgill’s experience with Jeep would have to be the norm.
