That looks like a list price from Ford Accessories…almost always the “street price” will be lower. Check the part # with some of the larger Ford parts vendors (Levittown, Tasca, Summit) if you’re interested…plus there’s added value in the TPMS Sensors that are included.
My understanding is that the “piped in engine sound” doesn’t require the audio system physically turned on. Similarly, your seat belt chime and turn signal sounds don’t care whether you’ve turned on the audio…those sounds use the existing speakers regardless.

So….after about 6000 miles we couldn’t be happier with this choice. They were slightly noisy when first installed along with a slight vibration which has remedied itself after some wear. The noise could be a case of us getting used to it…the vibration is definitely gone. They performed well in...
