That is because you are in the unlucky group with many others including me where Ford built your vehicle with missing parts then put it in a yard to sit. Then in July Ford had all the parts so the units built in July were completed and shipped. Ford is doing this same pattern with big Bronco, F150, and Bronco Sports. Why did ours get built and put in a yard to sit while later units are built complete and ship? Because that is how Ford does it across all the model lines when they are low on parts.

Apparently not until it gets on a truck is what I gathered. Until then we'd need to check with dealer to look it up for us. Mine headed for Delaware as well. It was in northern TX last night according to my sales guy. Long way to go still.

Yep, that's how I found out it was on Norfolk Southern, first in Illinois, then in Conway Pa. near Pittsburgh. The New Castle Delaware railhead seems to be the the destination for the entire Mid-Atlantic region. The dealer visibility report shows a range of ETA dates from 8/12 to 8/18, but the salesman says he expects it before the 8/12 date.

I gave up on my BL w/ BL Pkg last week and got lucky with a big Bronco Badlands....the dealership I ordered my BL from received the Bronco Badlands that someone had ordered but gave up on it. As you can see, it has the soft top, 2.3L 4 Cyl engine, 7-Speed Manual tranny (includes a "Crawl" gear), 33" BFG K02 ATs.
So the dealership sold it to me at MSRP without the $5K dealer markup.....so I had to jump on that deal.
In the end...I did get a Badlands in Area 51...just a different version of a "Badlands"...LoL

Thats the route I'd be going if I could afford one, but with the all the delays and hard top problems I'm glad I can't get one right now lol. Personally the fact that the BS doesn't have a removable roof is a big selling point for me.

But hey, enjoy it! The big Broncos look even better in Area 51, especially the Badlands.

Out of the waiting room and onto the road. My wife got the call yesterday so we went and picked it up. Selfishly glad that it worked out where her build dates were pushed back multiple times into the July sweet spot where complete builds were happening. It was a long 5 months to wait but this thing is fun to drive. Can’t wait to get it off road somewhere and see what it does.

Well, it's the week of August 2 and no communication. I got the VIN from my dealer a few weeks ago, but today when I put the VIN in the window sticker tool, it still says, not yet generated.

I think this officially puts me in Ford purgatory.

I ordered a BL+BL package on 2/23 and haven’t heard anything beyond the confirmation email. Oh well!

Ordered 02/20, but dealer didn't submit my email with order so I haven't received anything directly from Ford, only through dealer. Tried to get on email notification list with Ford, but apparently they couldn't figure out how to do that. My ETA is 10/31 or sooner I hope.

I ordered my OB + OB, tow package, moonroof the first week of March, 2021. Since then, "crickets!"
My dealer has "no" information on my Bronco Sport order. Nothing has been scheduled according to them, they are at a loss. And after 40+ years of driving a Ford, I might be forced to give-up-on-Ford and buy elsewhere! I am very familiar with the parts/chip shortages plaguing the Auto Industry, but the way that Ford has failed to communicate with dealers/customers etc. is not a good business model if the plan is to retain current customers and attract new ones, IMO. I am in Ontario Canada so the ordering process is very different from the US, but we all seem to be in the same boat, regardless of which side of the border(s) we are on!
