Or Outer Banks AND Escape SEL (1.5L) didn't bring the cover either and looks terrible. I bit the bullet and spent the $160 and bought two covers and 6 short studs. Now the engine area looks complete.

What you should do is take it in for its first service, then when you get it back ask what happened to your engine cover that was there before the service!
That is so funny, I actually had that happen to me on a 2004 Audi TT I had, took it in for service, when I popped the hood I noticed the engine cover was missing, I asked the service rep about it, she scrambled around looking for it and they finally ordered me a new one. I wish I had thought to try that when I had the OBX. ?

I called Ford Customer Service and was told that the owners manual doesn't say if you are supposed to have a cover or not, and the engine cover is not listed on the window sticker. I explained that it's part of the engine and would never appear on the window sticker. Then I was told to take it up with my dealer...
Seems like a bunch of BS to me, no pun intended!
I called Customer Service as well and they said the same thing. Nothing but understanding from them, but still no dice!

That’s because affect a certain build month this year they stoped puttingon the covers. Mine missed it by a week. The dealer can tell by your gun number when it was made and if was past the cut off date. I have my dealer get me one. I bought my bronco at end of august and it’s nov 16 and still waiting on parts

You guyz are seeing the whole picture right?
Ford relishes in all the online forum traffic. It generates tons of interest and is often the first exposure for some people about this New model.
The more forum traffic the higher up the Google Hit list. Higher up all the search engines hit lists.
Stay with me folks…..
Your a fly on the wall at a Ford marketing meeting.
The question is how do we drive up exposure of our new product as it has stagnated? The CEO is pissed.
,,,,,,
The new guy down at the far end of the table says, “stop producing the engine covers, make a few, make them rare as gold”..
He’s now the head of marketing”

This is actually what they did. There are 5 Bronco Sports with gold painted engine covers. If your vehicle has one then you are entitled to a tour of the Dearborn facility if you show up at the gate on February 1st.

The guy that suggested it might be a crackpot though. It's possible the same guy also created New Coke, and you see how that went.

That’s actually a good idea and if they say something about it being already gone before I could ask for a new one

I just got my Big Bend and no engine cover, no hood insulation/blanket.

What’s the TLDR? Should I pay for them?

I've read somewhere the lower trims don't get underhood cover thingy ( I don't know if its an insulator or sound deadener). I got one on mine it is a badlands and from what I read only the badlands and first editions get them because of the 2.0 engines. I'm not 100% sure it just something I read.

Heard same. After a certain date only the BL and FEs got them.

No there was a cut off date in July. Any sport built after that date in July didn’t come with a cover. You weren’t charged for one. Good luck getting one. I have been waiting since end of august for mine from dealer and still haven’t gotten it. Your dealers service dept can tell when it was built and show you everything on your bronco

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. No matter how hard I pull, the brace won't budge. It turns a bit, but won't pull off. Is there something holding it down?
I had the same problem. I finally gave it a quick hard upward jerk and it came off. It fits tight over the ball, but it will come off. Hope this helps.
