I guess that 1/4 sticks of dynamite weren't available at the time.

Ford accessories website OPI'm not going to post the dealer because they are doing the best they can to remedy the situation, but after the OEM hitch came in that I wrapped into my deal, it's not looking pretty. I was in complete and utter shock. They obviously did not take the hippocratic oath.
I've read all the other posts so don't start with the "why didn't you get one with a hitch factory installed?" The short answer is that some ahole rear-ended me in my Jeep and it was totaled and I needed a new car immediately. This was what was on the list.
They're going to get me a new bumper that has the cutouts from the factory.
But without further ado:

I agree completely. As a technician, if you gave the customer that thinking it was good you should find new line of work. It's one thing to F it up like that.
But to hand it off to the customer is quite another.
That looks like an entirely different bumper facia.Ford accessories website OP

Noticed the sameThat looks like an entirely different bumper facia.
This is the stock bumper for the BS base model and there were two options for dealer for install- one like this (but without a steak knife cuts) or with the Class II bumper and I didn't specify at the time of purchase because this was so new the parts weren't ready for either package.Noticed the same
Hoping OP picked up on that and the new bumper is the towing pkg bumper
Additional note
to anyone considering aftermarket add on similar to OP's pic consider the following (stock bumper - NOT towing pkg bumper)
Oh, come on.... you can do wonders with duct tape! Most importantly now - who is putting on the new bumper? Hopefully not these guys.
Jzombie, if you haven't committed to either bumper replacement yet or have the potential to change the order request I'd go with the bumper made for the receiver and harness connection if possible. You'll be happier in the long run especially if the vehicle may be a trade in down the line. This is the stock bumper for the BS base model and there were two options for dealer for install- one like this (but without a steak knife cuts) or with the Class II bumper and I didn't specify at the time of purchase because this was so new the parts weren't ready for either package.
They tried to tell me that it wouldn't fit my base model, and I called them out on that BS (hahah the other type of BS) and this is what is on order now. I told them if they needed to order a fresh bumper anyway, might as well get this one.Jzombie, if you haven't committed to either bumper replacement yet or have the potential to change the order request I'd go with the bumper made for the receiver and harness connection if possible.
