I'm not going to post the dealer because they are doing the best they can to remedy the situation, but after the OEM hitch came in that I wrapped into my deal, it's not looking pretty. I was in complete and utter shock. They obviously did not take the hippocratic oath.
I've read all the other posts so don't start with the "why didn't you get one with a hitch factory installed?" The short answer is that some ahole rear-ended me in my Jeep and it was totaled and I needed a new car immediately. This was what was on the list.
They're going to get me a new bumper that has the cutouts from the factory.
But without further ado:

I agree completely. As a technician, if you gave the customer that thinking it was good you should find new line of work.

If they are going to put on the OEM hitch, then they should be putting on the OEM bumper FOR the BS. I had to cut mine, but I was using a CURT hitch. Mine worked out fine. That's a f'n butcher job on yours!

Additional note
to anyone considering aftermarket add on similar to OP's pic consider the following (stock bumper - NOT towing pkg bumper)
Opt not to add wiring connection point cut out in bumper area. Instead relocate harness to a convenient rearward location in the hatch area. Coil up harness and tuck out of the way when not in use. When in use just uncoil, attach and close hatch. Did this method for many years. Here's the perk to that option for all the rust belt gang.....your connector stays corrosion free. That yearly check for a faulty ground will be a thing of the past.

Jzombie, if you haven't committed to either bumper replacement yet or have the potential to change the order request I'd go with the bumper made for the receiver and harness connection if possible. You'll be happier in the long run especially if the vehicle may be a trade in down the line.

They tried to tell me that it wouldn't fit my base model, and I called them out on that BS (hahah the other type of BS) and this is what is on order now. I told them if they needed to order a fresh bumper anyway, might as well get this one.
*edit: when I meant "time of purchase" I meant back in October when I get my BS. since then I did me research ; )

It's a separate bumper with pre-cuts for the hitch. Part number is M1PZ-17906-SC
