I had a huge issue with the 22C22 recall that dealt with the parking light issue. After it was done, the dealer didn't plug everything back in and then after they said they did I had the same issue you are explaining. then I turned it off and walked away, it was winking at me and if I...
a few hours after I drove home from the dealership, I did a Cerakote trim coat on all the trim parts to protect them... but now it's starting to wear off (coming up on 2 years of wear). Do you have any suggestions on how to remove that for prep for your pillar graphics?
Thanks, I know how it goes since I have been in and around dealerships for most of my career. But I don't want to come off as a Karen. I feel awful that this happened to everyone involved.
I posted this in the thread about the recall for the parking light modules, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had a horrible interaction with their local dealership. I have turned the other cheek two times now before posting here, and I won't name them because badmouthing them while they...
So this is a fun story: I was moving out of state so didn't have this parking light recall done until December 12, 2023. I went to pick it up a few hours later and immediately had to turn around in the parking lot because my turn signal was fast-blinking as if the bulb was out. I interrupted...
Ordered 3/28. Cactus Gray Big Bend with tow, moon roof, convenience package (kicking myself that I didn't see the cargo org!)
Built 6/25 (my boyfriend's birthday too!)
Just got to dealership today and they are going to push it through to pick up on Monday, the 25th of July.
Trading in my 2021...
did you ever get all of the other pillars cut for a whole set? I actually had to get the dealership to replace the two in the front on either side of the windshield because they messed them up so bad removing the adhesive from transport (their inexperienced porter ruined them)
well, they are going to fix the bumper (or try) but I had to buy it off the lot at the time and they knew I was not in love with it. Like I said in the original post, they are trying to make it right with a sweet trade-in deal.
Update: New Bumper coming in and installed at the end of the week. BUT... they said the one made for factory-installed hitch doesn't fit Base Camps because of different swaybar mounts?
They did also order me a completely new bronco that has a factory-installed hitch (and so so many other...
follow my dealer installed hitch saga here. I have an appt for a new bumper this saturday.

They tried to tell me that it wouldn't fit my base model, and I called them out on that BS (hahah the other type of BS) and this is what is on order now. I told them if they needed to order a fresh bumper anyway, might as well get this one.
*edit: when I meant "time of purchase" I meant back...
This is the stock bumper for the BS base model and there were two options for dealer for install- one like this (but without a steak knife cuts) or with the Class II bumper and I didn't specify at the time of purchase because this was so new the parts weren't ready for either package.
My biggest irk is that I knew I was going to be the first one they installed and I told them I didn't mind being the guinea pig. But what I meant was "take all the time in the world to figure out how to do it right and learn so you do a good job."
Im not a mechanic either, but in my brain it made sense that you'd drill holes in the four corners and then "connect the dots" for smooth cuts. I am baffled how this would be something that they would let a jv tech do that would just eyeball it.
