Still under 100 miles on my new Badlands and just tried the Sport Mode.
We usually don't use it on my Wife's Big Bend.
Plenty peppy enough and totally fine in mountain driving - even with the 235/65/17 AT Trails.
The Sport Mode is really great on the Badlands and I really can't feel any difference after installing 245/65 /17 AT Trails.
Nice to have options.:sunglasses:

I definitely hear the difference...fake sound thru the speakers goes way up in Sport mode. LOL
Fake sound? Do you have one of those fake muffler sound systems?

Good grief! A Mustang I owned, had one....I Removed it, as it was simply a hose that connected to the intake box. Stupid.

Do all 1.5's have this, or only the 2.0's?

Not sure. BTW my previous vehicle was a 2017 Fusion Sport with the 2.7L it also had the sound enhancement in Sport mode.

I believe you are referring to a "symposer," such as the one installed Ford installed on the Focus ST. ESE uses the car's audio system--the speakers--to generate the sounds. I don't think Ford installed ESE on the 1.5L cars.

No its just in sound through the speakers to make it sound...more sporty. Unfortunately not an uncommon things and many automakers do it.

I wish the sport mode on the 1.5's would cut off at higher speeds. I find my BB makes weird noises and is kind of clunky at low speeds and low RPM's. The sport mode really helps that, but at higher speeds it just keeps the engine revving too high. It would be cool if it could just automatically engage at speeds below 30 MPH and disengage at speeds above that. It would also be cool if whatever mode I have set would stay set after shutting off and then restarting.

Just to be clear.
I do notice quite a bit of pep in Sport Mode before and after going from the 225 65 17 Scorpions to 245 65 17 AT Trails on my 2023 Badlands. As far as the sound I'm just not hearing anything mentionable in Sport Mode. It really has some Giddie up when selected.
