Last week, when I was filling up, I decided I would do a run on eco mode. Every where I drove would be in eco. I know it effectively is just engine and throttle mapping but I wanted to see what if any difference I would experience. And I haven't seen much of a change. I'm getting closer to 25mpg...
I wouldn't and why I wouldn't has already been mentioned by others on here.
Its my only car and it does that quite well. I also needed a fishing car and something that could do some decently long road trips fairly comfortably. I also live in Denver and the smaller size comes in handy often...
It is and the 4x4 crowd really overestimates how much better having a 4Hi is. Yes its nice to have but really an AWD system is better for most people and I bet you, most people who have a dedicated 4Hi don't really use it that often.
I remember a rental agency gave me a 4Runner and it had 4Hi...
You'll be happy with them, there will be a noticeable performance improvement. When I went from the stock Pirelli's to the Falkens I was a bit surprised at how much of a difference they made.
There is a slight mpg penalty though but its worth it for the improved safety.
The horror of having to hit a button to turn off the autostop once every time you drive……horrible nuisance really along the same lines of having to put it in drive every time I get in the car or even manipulating the radio….
Hey very cool, my car has a March birthday as well, my little photo is the day I got it, and its going on two years now and I love my car as well.
I think whats really telling is I've honestly never thought to myself, well maybe I should've gotten a different car, or I wish I had....no the...
Not particularly no. Very typical for Denver highs in the 40s/50s lows in the 20s. What may have tanked it a bit was that big snow storm just after I got them. But then again. I was going slower in the slushy snow.
Good question. So I didn't do any sort of unusual driving during this period, pretty standard weekday errands weekend fishing trip. I normally get about 25/26 combined. So thats like a 3 or 2.5mpg loss. Considering its about like a what 15G tank, thats about 50mi, maybe a little less, i've...
I was ya, so it’s not really a great review because they’re two totally different tires and the differences I’m experiencing could largely be due to upgrading to a competent AT and not a reflection of its true performance. There’s certainly a ratings inflation happening here. But I will stand...
TL;DR Tire good, braking excellent, noticeably heavy
So these are a hot new tire on the market and they came out the same time I was getting new tires. I was told the tire vendor didn't have the AT/3W but they did have the AT/4W so I decided to go with those. I ended up getting the 225s...
Tbh I was burned out after a long day at work, not even sure what I said myself.
I may go back later and see what I wrote and might even delete it or edit it.
So I must be one of the first people with the AT/4W on the car and I reset my trip once I installed the tires. So far I'm getting a combined MPG of around 23.6 and thats with driving in the mountains and snow over the weekend. I plan on keeping a long running average, maybe I can report back on...
