I agree. But it seems Ford finds a way to include every year, regardless of first model year or not.

If I recall correctly, CR includes recalls when it computes reliability ratings. Personally, I don't think that's fair since it represents a manufacturer attempting to take care of its customers. Ford has clearly issued a LOT of recalls for its vehicles over the past few years.

I'm not a fan or CR to be honest, I think they are somewhat biased, but you can't argue about the number of recalls and quality over the past 4 or so years.
Let's hope Farley continues to get this sorted out.

I only had my '21 Badlands for three years and 24k miles. I thought the quality was excellent. Fit, finish, reliability were excellent on the one I used to have.

I had a 2008 Escape, albeit a v6 4wd and a 2018 Escape SE, 1.5l 4cyl ecoboost, both are listed as unreliable and to be avoided on the used market. The '08 went just short of 100k over 8yrs with no issues at all. The '18 was equally reliable in the 2 years we had her and traded at just under 25k. Both were driven daily and taken on long trips from Colorado to Las Vegas and SoCal. Anything that's man made, especially massed produced will have some with problems. It's a numbers game. Publications that promote good, bad and indifferent can have a profound influence with the unknowing public. Not necessarily a good thing imo.

My 2006 was basically flawless for nearly 18 years. Unfortunately, the steering rack failed after 42 months. For those keeping track, the ESP would have paid for itself for that little episode. That being said, other than that nothing more than routine maintenance. The only reason I decided to get rid of it was it suffered from rust-itis and the Sport seemed to be a pretty good replacement.

I understand I am a biased, limited perspective but I owned 4 Bronco Sports from 2021 through 2023 and I guess I’m lucky as I’ve loved them all. No problems and I know that my current one and 2 friends that own my previous ones, have had no problems. Combined price, fun, reliability, off-road ability, I’ll recommend the BS to anyone, until I’m proven wrong in my limited experience.

I had a 2001 escape. First one delivered to my area. First year for them. I loved that vehicle. When I sold it, it was 15 years old and had 378,000 miles. She was the reason I had no hesitation on buying a first model year Sport.

the 2025 issues just haven't Showen up yet, there will be some, its a first year of a new power train and electronics.. hopefully they are all minor.

My 21 BB has 84,000 miles on it. Other than a $3,000 problem with the rear diff and the recalls it's been a great car. I own it outright and am going to drive it until it dies, so we'll see how far I can get it!!
