No. Debris in the system causes leaks. Flushing the system prevents the new pump from leaking.Flushing the system stops water pump leaks. Interesting.
It’s only applicable to the 1.5l.Thank you! Do you have a link to that?
Are you sure the dealer performed the coolant flush?Funny you should post this, I just had my Bronco Sport into the dealer for an oil change and state inspection, the mechanic found a coolant leak and replaced the water pump as per the TSB. They did a great job and covered it under warranty so no charge! I have attached a scan of my invoice so you may see the part numbers and work performed.
The work order didn't mention a system flush. You might consider contacting your service department and discussing.Funny you should post this, I just had my Bronco Sport into the dealer for an oil change and state inspection, the mechanic found a coolant leak and replaced the water pump as per the TSB. Service bulletin was released on 3/14. His RO is dated 3/8. The dealer wouldn't have been aware of the flushing protocol. The work order didn't mention a system flush. You might consider contacting your service department and discussing.
I saw that. Doesn't preclude discussing the issue.Service bulletin was released on 3/14. His RO is dated 3/8. The dealer wouldn't have been aware of the flushing protocol.
Yep, the 2.0L uses a different water pump, I posted that part number here:It’s only applicable to the 1.5l.
