quick question, if you measure how much fluid drains out, couldn't you just add the same amount of new fluid without having to go through the whole procedure of letting it warm up and drain out of the leveling plug?

Finally good it troubleshooted correctly. Wastegate actuator on the turbo was sticking. Unfortunately you have to change the entire turbo assembly. Dealer wanted $4,300 to do the work, I declined and went with another mechanic and got it done for $1600

Guess I should have been following advice from here about fluid changes more often than what Ford states. Changed the RDU today, no signs of leaking and only got 1/2 a quart out of it. Wish I had been changing this and the transmission fluid more often.

Actually after viewing the part the dealer changed, I’m definitely going back in there tomorrow for an explanation for more then $400 labor for a part I could have done myself in 10 minutes.

Haven’t gotten those details yet. But just happened again and was able to get to auto zone and has p0299 turbo under boost for a predetermined period of time

So dealer couldn’t reproduce it going into to limp mode. But said they found 225 counts for the brake override pid Does that mean I’ve been resting my foot on the brake when I’m in cruise control?

Well picked it up today$580 later. Got it on the interstate and same things happens again. Lost all power. Back to the dealership tomorrow

Dashboard randomly lit up on my Sunday and lost all power. Then through turbo charger warning. Luckily the turbo itself is still ok, $600 repair though. Really no notice on the failure or nothing I had noticed. Though I don’t know a lot about turbos, but definitely not a fan of them.

Same for me, worst case I'm out $11. This area is known to have deer moving around in herds, there are so many of them. But I have noticed deer on the side of the road, they tend to pop their head up when I approach. Whether it works or not, I will always keep them on.

I know on mine they drained it, filled and flushed with new oil, then drained it again and refilled. On my bill they listed 16qts of fluid.

I went back to ask about mine today, said they did a flush and that the old oil was pretty much burnt

I have two, but i attached mine to the rails on the top of the car, less visible.

I have to go back to the dealership today to clarify it. The bill shows a kit and 16 quarts.

I strongly suggest to everyone, by 50,000 miles get a flush kit done on the transmission. I waited until 70,000 and wish I had done it sooner. I had been noticing the shifting was a bit rough and it has smoothen out a lot since I had it flushed.
