Just ordered a set of Mach E Brembo calipers.

Found a used set on eBay with 17k miles on the donor car.

From everything I’ve read, it seems like a relatively straightforward process. I ordered two sets of rotors from work, because there is a 17” wheel setup and an 18” wheel setup that work with these calipers.

I figured I may need to swap out the wheels to a bigger set, so if I do, I’m going to buy the Wilwood dry bleed quick connects, so I can switch back to the OEM brake system in the winter easily without having a lot of additional work to do.

Anyways, for the price I got the setup for, it’s worth a shot. 🤣

They arrived today. Very clean overall. Took and disassembled everything on them. Going to be giving them a fresh badlands orange paint job and then the work on getting them on begins. Hoping I can get away with the smaller rotors, and maybe still utilize my stock wheels. I don’t have HIGH hopes, but there is an option for 17” wheels with the brembo brakes. 🤞🏻

I took my wire wheel on the die grinder and got everything cleaned up tonight. Will say I’m glad I buy brake clean in five gallon barrels. I went through half a gallon cleaning what I could up. Gonna let them soak tomorrow in an iron decon mix and hopefully that’s the last bit of clean up before I paint them.

Got them all cleaned up after work today.

Hung them and primed so far. Doing a little more than needed… as is typical with me.

2K epoxy primer, 2k base coat, then a 2k clear.

That looks fantastic!!!
Thanks! Now comes the fun (expensive) part of getting them to fit. Have to figure out a set of 18s that’ll fit on there without catching the barrel of the wheel.

From there, though… install is pretty straightforward.
