Well, if we're dreaming...

The wife's Kia has a couple of safety features that I'd love to see Ford (and other manufacturers) include.
  1. The blind spot notifications include a pictorial alert on the main instrument cluster. I absolutely abhor having to look at the side mirror for the little glowing icon on the mirror.
  2. When the turn signal is activated, you see a camera view of that side of the car in the instrument cluster,

The turn signal camera views can be enabled in certain trucks, but it only works while towing. Unfortunately, they hard-coded it into the software to where it can not be enabled without having a trailer plugged in. Vehicle would have to be on Sync 4 with 360 cams for it to work even while towing, and it shows the image on the center screen. The current tech in these vehicles is so much more capable as it is, but Ford just bottlenecks it for some reason.

I've been down a deep rabbit hole for the past few hours with this. I think I finally found it. Confirmed on an Escape forum that this worked on an Escape:

https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-diy-enable-reverse-tilt-on-sideview-mirrors-with-forscan.19499/

Bascially, all you need to do is enable MRT in the APIM, and then follow the steps to program the mirrors. However, it will not work automatically; manual imput is still required by the driver and ony one mirror can tilt at a time. I will try it tonight.

without changing the driver side window switches as well?
If it works as mentioned in the link above, it won't require different hardware. You just have to manually push one of these two before (or after) you shift into reverse and it will tilt that mirror down and back up when you shift into park. I'll be home in a few hours and try it. The more I think about it, I kinda like it to work this way instead of tilting automatically. Depending on the situation, auto reverse tilt mirrors can be an inconvenience more than they help.

Can anyone with a 21-24 confirm there are no mirrors options in the touchscreen settings? If there aren't, I don't see how this will work.

I seen the video with the gross eletric mach-e but figured it already has memory seats and mirror features available. This car has to be missing a module or two compared to that battery on wheels.

And it's a negative for me. My menu looks the same a yours. And it used to not have the door keypad, I had to add that when I installed mine.

Ok I'll dig around some more tomorrow. There has to be a way to add the mirror options to the APIM.

Since the OP is from Brazil, the BS (not sure if it is trim-specific) is available with power folding mirrors. I don't think they auto-fold or reverse-tilt though. Cheers!
that would be neat if we could just order new mirrors from overseas and convert ours. it isn't even an option in Canada

Yes, I can see both options - tilt down and mirror fold. Rememberer we talked about that 1:1?

Hi everyone, sorry for my absence these past few days.
I finally got in touch with the company that makes these modules here in Brazil. You need a module for each function. That is, one for the rearview mirrors, one for operating the windows, and another for operating the sunroof. I'm referring to closing the windows and sunroof and folding the rearview mirror using the key. Oh, and of course, it only works on vehicles that are already electronically controlled.

I received a manual in Portuguese and in PDF format. However, I'm not very familiar with this forum's tools and don't even know if it's possible to translate this document. If anyone wants it, send me an email and I'll send you the manual. Someone will probably be able to translate it and post it here. My apologies.

Honestly, no. I like to think I have many good attributes, but my memory for sure it not one of them. 🤣

I do remember you sent me your VIN though. The good news with the 21-24 is that the APIM is very simple......not too many lines of config to sort through. I am going to compare mine to yours later tonight for differences and to see if I can find where that is enabled.

Do what I do, I use my finger to make the mirror go down till I can see the thing I don't want to hit, than I use it again to lift the mirror back up in place. It's actually quicker.

Hey guys!!
I'd like to know if it's possible via software or even some part to make the mirrors tilt down when we're parking? Like in Jeep cars?

@hefler and anyone else still following:

Below is what Ford shows online for your truck and mine. Yours is on the left side. I compared every difference using the 2023 Explorer APIM which has the exact same amount of lines of code and seems to be identical. I don't see anything. The only think I can think of is what I circled below. 4252 is the country code for Brazil and 5553 is for the US. Maybe if I change the country to code to yours, it may open up some features that are not enabled with the US market programming?

I will try it out tonight and report back.

Tbh, I don't think it will work either, but there is nothing else I saw that would make sense to try.
