I need to jack up my BS to pull off the skid plate and get my coolant cap out.

In my last car, there was a jack point in the center towards the front. This lifted the entire front end.

Is there something like this on the BS? In the manual, I can only see the jack points along the side.

I can use the pinch welds to jack it up but I don’t have enough room to get the jack stands in place.

I ended up going to Ford and buying a new cap. I’ll take my car in tomorrow and they’ll remove the panel with no charge. I wanted to get my transmission fluid changed but their quote went from $250 to $350 just for parts.

If I don’t need to remove the wheels, I’ll often jack up one side at a time and place ramps under the wheels instead of driving onto them. I’ve had ramps slide while driving up, so this feels safer. It also avoids the issue of needing to put jack stands in the same spot as the jack.

My dealership quoted me $280 and upon pick up the advisor just said, “I was able to get that covered for you” and I paid $0. Was pleasantly surprised but also Like would that have happened if i I asked for it to be free right out of the gate?

I see. I was able to get the skid plate off and on without lifting the vehicle. And I know I used jack stands when I changed rotors and pads. But can't remember where I put them. Just find something sturdy.
I see you have a Badlands and I have the Big Bend. You have bit more room to crawl under. And I could have maybe been able to do that 20 years ago.

How did they get your transmission fluid covered? Are you under warranty? Did you say it was slipping or having issues shifting? The girl asked why I wanted to have it done so early and asked if I was having issues. She's the secondary. Last time I was there, the primary (manager?) girl was there and told her to code it as a drain and fill or something. That's how they came up with the $250/$280ish. That girl's never there when I go.

I didn’t say anything other than, oh yeah I was curious how much it costs to have my transmission drained and filled? She said $280. And I said okay if we could do that that’d be great.
im at 26k miles too so I definitely did it to early especially in the eyes of a dealership I’d imagine but yeah that was all that was said. I am under warranty though so maybe that’s how she did it

Wow. Maybe I should've said it feels like it's slipping. I have an extended warranty (I'm at 42k miles now) so maybe she was trying to hook me up? But I didn't want to go down the whole diagnostic route and all that.
