Same here. I didn't like how it looked with my new tires. Honestly I do very little highway driving where I think the aero advantage of the flaps comes more into play.
When I'm not on the dirt I'm on the interstate, doing speeds anywhere between 60 to 85 mph, and haven't noticed any difference in mpg

My 22 BL actually didn't seem to come with them from the factory. I didn't mind. Here's a photo from the day I brought it home and one of it straight off the train sitting in the dealer's back lot. No 'lil flaps.

Now that is interesting.
If one watches the Long MacArthur Ford (Salina, Kansas dealer) live stream podcasts, Tim Bartz recommends NOT ordering the mud flaps or splash guards from new orders since it will delay the build due to a lack of stock of these parts. Better is to get them from Ford Accessories or other resource.
I wonder if the front aero shields are also a limiting factor.

I bet that was the case, especially back when I ordered. There were a ton of constraints and part shortages. If you look at the timeline in my signature, the wait wound up being pretty long. I was asked more than once to remove the tow package and premium package to speed things up. Since I intend to drive this vehicle until the wheels fall off, I declined. I was also asked by my dealer if I was okay with removing the full size spare and simply ordering one later, which I agreed to, but it showed up with the spare anyway. Those were weird times in vehicle ordering.

I discovered those podcasts/YouTube videos about 30 days after my order was placed.
I think I've watched well over 200 of those BS reviews, obsessing over my new ride.
After a few days, I decided to call my salesperson and ask for a "change order" to remove the mud flaps, which he did. I don't want to remove the hitch package on my '24 BS BL order.
As to the quality of those review videos, many are forehead slappers. Several show the reviewer repeatedly pushing the left side cargo area button, wondering what it does.
It seems like anyone with a cell phone camera thinks they can become an "Internet Influencer" and get rich quick. They clearly haven't tried to familiarize themselves before making the video, and don't even make an effort to re-record the errors and do some editing. IMO, Internet Influencer = uneducated, unskilled person.
My only criticism of the Long MacArthur videos is Tim Bartz needs to curtail his use of the phrase "as well" when referring to any feature option that he is highlighting. I also hear that in many of the BS YouTube reviews, making me wonder if their reviews aren't scripted by Ford, as well.

Were you given a credit (or promised to be given them later; after delivery) on any parts you agreed to remove from the order?

You won't get a credit for removing constraints. (Except they did offer credits on the Big Bronco for this, never for the BS) You only get a credit if it is taken off from the build at the factory, such as WiFi hotspot.

The dealer in this case also didn't understand you can't remove the full size spare from a Badlands build as it's not something that is chosen as a build item like the Tow Package and Premium Package.

Nope. They told me they'd delete it from the order since it was holding up the build but would order me one separately. It didn't show on the window sticker plus it was there upon delivery anyway. The wifi hotspot removal did show up on the window sticker as a credit, but nothing else was actually removed from my build.

I check the screws on these and my mud flaps when I wash the car based on the experiences shared by forum members. I do enough highway driving that I’ll keep anything on the car that may help the mpg. However, If I keep the car as long as I am hoping I suspect in the long run they will catch on a high curb and get damaged, and I will be too cheap/lazy to buy replacements. But maybe the Colonel will give me a good deal out of that dusty box in his garage!
I’ve noticed no difference in mpg with the front deflectors removed.

Anyone here remove the flaps that hang off the front bumper in front of the tires? Never seen that on any other vehicle. Not sure what the idea behind their design is. I'm thinking it would be an improvement in the "Looks" dept.

The screws on the one on the passenger side of mine failed and I didn’t know it, so it dangled there for who knows how long, as my tire chewed it up. Tried to order a new set, but parts department kept getting in mudflaps…so just took the drivers side one off to match.

And don't worry about any adverse effects; there won't be any.

They are called deflectors. They are installed in front of both the front and rear wheels. The purpose is to deflect air around the wheels at highway speeds to improve mpg.

Almost all vehicles today have deflectors installed from the factory. You are not looking close enough.
Thanks so much. I noticed them right away when I got my BSBB and thought they were ....errrr "odd". Thought maybe some mOron just mounted the mudflaps on the wrong side. lol
