I suspect the front brake calipers in my case. The pop happens upon releasing the brake, and when braking lightly over a rough road or rumble strip it rattles loudly along with the bumps. Knowing the poor tolerances on the rear caliper bushings (reverse moan sound), I'm guessing the caliper...
I was thinking about changing my RDU fluid this weekend at 59,000 miles...but seeing yours fail after 20 miles is pretty scary. I think I'll leave it alone, maybe pay a shop to do it so I have warranty recourse.
Anything over 48 months is pretty crazy. Even if you can afford it, writing that check every month just sucks, and doing it for 5-6 years on a car you are underwater on..no thank you.
The number of people behind on their car payments is rising due to longer terms and higher interest rates...
I have about 15,000 miles on these tires now and they also haven't worn as evenly as the AT3W. Not nearly as bad as the Discoverer AT3's I've had on other trucks, but they have gotten much noisier over time.
I must be old because I have realized that the tires I want are not the most...
Hold on to one end of a table knife so it is horizontal. The knife represents your suspension's lower control arm. With your other hand, push down on the center of the knife with one finger until it moves 1". Your finger is the coil spring. The free end of the knife moved more than 1" didn't it?
Pretty easy to see why that came apart... it work hardened that sheet metal and snapped off like the tab on a beer can. With your fix secured at both ends of the bolt it should be way stronger. Seems like it could have easily been built that way from the beginning. Must have been a real b-word...
For an agressive tire the Wildpeaks are the quietest I have used. The OE AT3W were quieter than the AT4W that I replaced them with. Most importantly, they wear evenly as opposed to the BFG and Coopers I have run in the past, once they start getting that sawtooth pattern in the tread they get...
I had a good experience with Walnut Creek Ford. My Badlands was pre ordered and when other dealers were marking them up, they sold it to me for MSRP with $500 mfg cash back. Then they gave me 0% financing without asking. Different times in 2021 for sure, but I'd go back to them again. Their...
I got a non-Ford windshield put on my Transit, figured "how different could it be?" and looking from an angle it has more waves than the Atlantic. Insisted on the Ford glass when my BS windshield got smacked by a rock.
The Ford laminated side glass is incredible stuff, some junkie hit it 5-6...
I had been ignoring the 24S24 recall, and an (Ford?) agent texted me trying to schedule an appointment at my dealer. I really don't have half a workday to give them right now, but they were surprisingly persistent. When we finally got it booked I got a call from the dealer's service department...
Mine are same, but fortunately not cutting my fingers like the start button on my wife's VW. She got sliced a couple times before I just peeled all the metal off. The entire shifter bezel of that car got recalled due to the peeling metal. I think they replaced the start button as well, only to...
Try disconnecting the manual park release cable from the top of the transmission. On early '21's it can carry some odd transmission noises into the cabin.

Just watch out for that torque steer! You'd think with all the fancy traction control and lane centering tech the BS has, Ford would have found a way to reduce the effect.
I had something similar happen a few days ago, I was in stop-and-go traffic and I heard a pop from the front each time I released the brake pedal. Could feel it in the pedal too. Once I got rolling I never heard it again.
Used to plug my wifi hotspot into the 12V. Not in outside sales anymore so I don't need the hotspot. Never used the 110VAC outlet. Would be handy for backup power in an outage, but I don't think 400W is enough to start my refrigerator compressor.
I can't find any posts about failed sensors, other than one that was chewed by rodents and a bent crank sensor (which resulted in engine replacement!?).
Not to say it's impossible that your sensor is defective, but it does give me the idea they may be barking up the wrong tree. I'd get a...
