Nothing from Ford for my vehicle I did see an email from another forum that there were new recalls on the 2023 BS.

I'm waiting for Feb 3rd to see if I get an owner notification letter. Battery is two years old. If I'm not part of this recall I may just bite the bullet and buy an AGM, or I may wait to see if my battery goes kaput in the 3yr/36k bumper-to-bumper.
Have you tried entering your VIN at the NHTSA Site? This link is for 2022 but enter your 2023 VIN to see applicable recalls.

21 BB, no recall but not "currently" (pun intended) any issues. Was -5 yesterday, fired right up. The battery and brakes were replaced when I bought the used rig a year ago

2022 Badlands w/55k miles and OE lead acid battery. Received recall notice. No problems with battery so far. I recently installed a voltage reader to monitor what my aftermarket car audio amplifiers are getting from the battery and I’ve seen it as high as 15 volts. Garage kept so the cold doesn’t really affect the battery while parked…..

At least this means that battery replacement will be under warranty now. Mine failed about 6 month ago and wasn't. I replaced it with a non-motorcraft AGM when it wasn't covered under warranty.

• Intermittent electrical issues.
Boy, does this sound familiar!

That’s what I suspected - Recall 25S02 applies to both the OE EFB and AGM Batteries… matches some owners with OE AGM Batteries that had the same failure mechanism described in Recall 24S24
And this is why I didn't jump on the AGM bandwagon. Remedies that come from your local service department--often after the replace-stuff-until-the-problem-goes-away approach--rarely get at the root cause of an issue. Sorta like the rear brake noise issue.

I believe post #18 PDF states the AGM Batteries do not have the issue

Gotcha, thanks. The full notice explains quite nicely why some EFBs experienced issues while others did not. I haven't personally experienced any of the issues described in the document. I DO have to use a battery charger on occasion.

I'm regretting not getting a 4-pod A pillar gauge mount now. Would have been nice to have a Volt & Oil pressure gauges as well as the Boost and AFR:sadface:

I went out and looked at mine. I couldn't tell if it is a Camel (the suspected failure mfr) or a Clarios. It is an EFB, so according to the document posted by wireman, so it should get replaced with an AGM (when available). Cheers!

Not quite what I did. I have the reader installed inline on the 0 gauge power cable (connected directly to the battery) that feeds the distribution block which in turn feeds my amps....

Someone mentioned "System Off to Save Battery." This happened to me for the first time while I was in temperatures below freezing yesterday (here in Florida of all places). I'm assuming it's not related to the Cast-On-Strap and was just a cold weather event.

From the NHTSA PDF:
https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/attachments/nhtsa-recall-25v-019-pdf.52354/

"Vehicles recalled under 24S24 were produced with Enhanced Flooded Batteries (EFB) supplied by two different suppliers: Camel and Clarios. This investigation identified internal manufacturing defects in the Camel EFB batteries, including failures of the battery’s Cast On Strap (COS) and internal weld failures, both of which can lead to open circuits. The customer claims and warranty returns related to alleged LOMP failures demonstrate a higher concentration in warmer weather states. As of October 29, 2024, 234 out of 238 allegations of LOMP post-24S24 were vehicles produced with Camel EFB batteries. Ford has not identified any Clarios EFB batteries with a similar failure mode to what has been observed in the Camel EFB. "

Some good news:

"Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have their vehicle inspected for the presence of a Ford Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) 12V battery. If there is not a Ford AGM battery present, one will be installed. There will be no charge for this service."

Now I'm hoping our Badlands is included in the recall.

Mine has been recalled. I’ve never had issues but it sits for long periods of time during the summer so it stays on a tender. Now that we have dipped below zero I get the note on the display. It’s never had issues starting. It will be good to get a new battery now that it is three years old. Just got a recall for the two door as well for the shock reservoirs falling off. Just like our batteries, folks have been complaining about those as well. Since my 2 door sits in the garage during salt season, mine haven’t suffered the corrosion issue but I’ll happily take new ones of those as well!
