I have the same issue. It just started in the last two months or so. 2022 Badlands, 67k miles I’m beginning to think these vehicles just wear out quickly. Thinking of dumping mine for a hybrid 4Runner.

I had a local shop in Hendersonville tell me that they didn’t want to do it because it is a total body lift and that they weren’t really equipped to do that type of lift….

I noticed on the paperwork they reset the PCM too. You will need FORScan to do that. I’ve done it in the past using ForScan Lite On my iPad. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/forscan-lite-for-ford-mazda/id892347083

I took it to the dealership and asked that it be covered by the pending recall once I learned it was not covered by the Premium Extended warranty. They told me to leave the vehicle and they would reach out to Corporate. They did and it was covered.

I just thought of something…….the new Sasquatch package has the option for steel bumpers? Can those be fitted onto older Badlands models? Can a winch be attached to that new bumper?

My battery died exactly how you describe your failure. I was still able get them to cover it.

I hope Ford doesn’t try to pull some shit and say they need the old battery to see if the failed battery was covered by the recall….hopefully that isn’t the case. As much as I don’t trust corporations, Ford was good to me today and I hope they are to you too!
