No, but some people do put their blinker on before looking in the mirror. So if you look at your mirror and see BLIS illuminated you would activate your turn signal anyway?

Of course not. Blinker on first If lane is occupied the BLIS illuminates on the mirror. My issue is no warning beep to accompany the mirror warning. Other vehicles have this.So if you look at your mirror and see BLIS illuminated you would activate your turn signal anyway?
Why do you think it was deleted like many other items? Cost savings.Of course not. Blinker on first If lane is occupied the BLIS illuminates on the mirror. My issue is no warning beep to accompany the mirror warning. Other vehicles have this.
Example: Moving into passing lane on Highway. Signal left. No BLIS warning. Visually check drivers mirror. Clear. Begin to change lanes and the idiot behind you decides to change lanes and passes you at high speed. BLIS does go off but in an emergency situation the audible warning in addition to the BLIS illumination would be safer. Ford had this on my 2019 Mustang. Why delete it? Just stupid.
Of course! But cutting a safety feature vs something else says a lot about Ford’s priorities as a company. Why do you think it was deleted like many other items? Cost savings.
The almighty dollar is more important to businesses. Every year more items are deleted and yet there's an increase in price with auto manufacturers making record profits.Of course! But cutting a safety feature vs something else says a lot about Ford’s priorities as a company.
Yea, they should send a shock to the drivers seat! Thanks. Thats an odd place for Ford to cut corners. Disappointing.
....and then punch it.So if you look at your mirror and see BLIS illuminated you would activate your turn signal anyway?
welcome to the forum lolI simply asked if the feature was available and expressed surprise that Ford cheaper out not having it when the competition does. I did not expect a debate on this simple question. Wow.
I don't have an issue with added safety features, but I don't think a manufacturer's decision not to include one is indicative of its commitment to safety. Every added feature is added cost, and there is a point of diminishing returns. Those who say Ford "cheaped out" by not including such-and-such feature forget they benefit by not paying for said feature.I don’t think it makes the vehicle less safe because there is no audio chirp. It has the light, that’s plenty. People rely on too many “safety features” these days while driving. If someone is overtaking you at such a rate of speed that you didn’t see them when you checked before switching lanes and the light wasn’t on when you started changing lanes the audio clue isn’t going to help. Plus their horn will get your attention.
Any knock on Ford, even a small knock with ruffle feathers just like any other auto forum.I simply asked if the feature was available and expressed surprise that Ford cheaper out not having it when the competition does. I did not expect a debate on this simple question. Wow.
