Nice to see. We drove both the CRV and RAV4 before choosing our Sport. Both of them had a tighter, plusher car like feel to the cockpit that was less appealing to us. My brain said I should get the CRV hybrid but the look and feel of the BS inside and out stole our hearts. We had the luxury of being able to order exactly the color and options we wanted and waiting for it to arrive. We have only the one vehicle now and could not be happier 10K in.

We are not easy on our sport by any means. Hardware hauler, giant dog hauler, and weekend warrior. We love camping and are constantly on backroads in the middle of nowhere. +40 Celcius summers to -40 Celcius winters. And it got smoked by hail this summer. Never an issue, i'd drive it anywhere in a heartbeat. I don't think people give these lil beasts enough credit.

That's funny because I almost bought the Genesis GV70 but it's way too expensive here in Canada. I'm happy with my Badlands purchase

My wife and I immediately rejected most of the others on that list due to their grotesque styling. What has happened to the exterior design of cars in the past few years?

That said, I'm a function over form guy so I would have at least considered the RAV4 Prime, but it was her call. The BS BL replaced her '97 RAV4.

I didn't feel like Bronco Sport is in the same category as most of these. it's a smaller vehicle. I would definitely dismiss everything except the dodge hornet as too big for me. Our car is all butch and rugged but it competes with Mini countryman, fiat 500L, Hyundai kona, Kia seltos, Toyota Corolla cross, etc...

The article doesn't mention anything regarding reliability. Its their favorites...
yep . Beat me to it. This article is just a popularity contest.

It’s not like I’m triggered over them calling this an SUV. But it is not a SUV at all. It’s a Crossover. It resembles a SUV and it’s quite “trucky“ but when we call it an SUV it will have unmet expectations.

At least the article listed it with other actual crossovers.

BMW had it right when they introduced the X3:
SAV Sport Activity Vehicle.

After I bought the BS I was thinking I should've maybe gone with the CR-V. It's my first SUV (CUV, whatever, not a coupe/sedan) and, coming from Honda, I missed some of the refinements.

But the more I drive the BS, the more I like it. I did look at what a comparable CR-V would look like. I plan to get into a light overloading and it didn't look like the CR-V had the same capabilities. Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't look too hard.

Either way, I figure I'll keep the BS for at least another 5-7 years and things will be different by then.
