Does anyone else find themselves setting off their car alarm horn inadvertently? I've done this dozens of times just by having my keys in my pocket. I'm ordering a leather key fob cover which may help to eliminate the issue a little. Anyone else have any solutions other than not putting your keys in your pocket?

Happened to me in the first week. I keep my keys in a cargo pocket by themselves, but apparently that's not sufficiently isolated.

Have mine in a leather cover hanging from my belt loop on a “D” hook. Every once in a while it still hits something and sets alarm off. At least this way I can get to it faster and shut off the alarm ?

Mines in holder as well with a “d” hook clipped to my belt loop. That seems to stop the inadvertent honking.

Nope. I keep my fob in my pocket with a bunch of other keys and earplug case. Hasn’t set off the alarm yet.?
Hope the cover helps.

Well, William, John, Bill, Steve, Paul, and Mark - you need a purse. Mine is in my purse, outside pocket. Never any worries. Never need to touch it. Man purses are the rage!!:like:

Yes, I too have done that in the past. Keys in pocket and remote bumps against steering wheel when I get in. Keep in mind I am 6'4" 280lbs I need more room than Broncy affords me. What the heck it is the wife's car and she loves it.

My wife has the keys on a carabiner & clips them to her pants belt loop, never set the alarm off. Whether she or I are driving we never put the keys in our pocket.

I've set mine off several times, but I react pretty quick to it. It doesn't really bother me at this point.

I have a Smith's supermarket discount card that I put on the inside of the ring, so it covers the panic button. It works most of the time.

I agree, the silly fob is the size of a cell phone. I tried a case, but it just made it bigger. Reminds me of when I was in school and had a case for my slide rule on my belt.

As soon as you mentioned the slip stick, I had shudders. First one (plastic) was broken in my back pocket, then I stabbed myself in a particularly sensitive spot with its metal replacement. Finally, I just had to endure pocket protector levels of abuse from the other kids for switching to a scabbard for it.
