I was not able to find splice S207 in PTS, but the connector that @DonImbimbo mentioned C2280B does mention ambient lighting in some of the pins. It mentions postive and negative for the ambient light sensor, but no mention of the LIN: See attached; it is located here:

What you said has confused me about the correct circuit... I connected pin 31 of the C2280D and pin 4 of the C2280F. But pin 4 has no voltage.

So we're off to a bad start! I'm wondering if it has a fuse or if the correct circuit is the one you described.

I got that from Ford's workshop manual for a 2025 BS. Unless the info is wrong which would not surprise me.

FWIW, there's no 2025+ BS model/trim that has ambient lighting any more, so they may very well have removed all the wiring involved in that. Still, with the brackets for mounting the lights, the blue OEM ones may just need to be tapped into the courtesy light circuit or something. guess we shall see.

not strange at all, 25 model year is a generation change, different electronic requirments, as sensors changed and such with the motor change. happens every time there is a generation change in their lines. less popular options are dropped some times new ones added. any issues they had in the previouse generation are updated in the new.
