Your list pretty much matches mine; I feel you... But I would characterize my dissatisfaction more as "I miss" instead of "I hate". I had most of these features and more on the 2015 Fusion Titanium I traded in. But, that was a $40K car back then. I knew I'd be missing some of those features when...
I've had mine cancel a few times when trying to navigate a sharp turn at speed... Usually I get the "Hands On Steering Wheel" notice just before. But, If I don't fast enough, it cancels. However, I'm pretty sure I had to switch ACC back on; I don't recall it coming back on or "resume" by itself...
I am thinking about getting this installed to use up my rewards points. It will be interesting to see if others are getting false alarms. If that's the case, I'll use the points for something else... I'll be watching.
As a smoker in the Windy City, the first thing I got for my BS were Window Deflectors. Thinking "official" Ford accessories have got to be the best, that's what I got. I've had WD on all my cars since they first became available. I prefer the in-channel mount over the stick-ons; My 2014 Escape...
Thanks for posting that light bar install link... reading through it, It's not wired to the Fuse Box. It's spliced in using a barrel and heat shrink (WT-56814). I've used these types of splices before in marine grade applications; I'm going to use these if/when I have to splice something in on...
I think ford expects us to pay the Service Departments in their dealerships to install stuff... I'd be surprised if they have a widely distributed "OEM recommended" way to DIY anything, except maybe change a tire. I've had cars serviced by Ford with Fuse Taps before... The Techs either didn't...
I use fuse taps... no worries. Unless I'm wiring anything that has a high current draw like an audio amp, woofer, two-way radio, etc... In which case I try to go direct to the battery with a 14, 12 or 10 gauge wire with an in-line fuse, depending on the application. The fuse box is likely wired...
For serious crossbars, the main players seem to be Thule, Yakima, and Rhino Rack. Their overhang bar options all include aerodynamic choices, which minimize wind noise if you plan to leave them on all the time. They are all in the $500 to $600 range. I went with Yakima because I'm a "buy...
Yakima recommends the 60" Jetstream Crossbars for the BS. If you buy the Yakima kit from Ford, you'll get the 60" bars. For what I carry, they were too big for me; I wanted the 50" bars. I asked Rack Attack (a Yakima Dealer) to install the 50" for me, but they couldn't because it was "not...
As you can see from the pic... I don't have too many miles on my BS. Twice now, a red or pinkish indicator light came on at the top of the Information Display. It looks to have an infinity symbol or something in it. It came on while driving and it goes away by itself, so I didn't get a good...
I very much resemble this posts title. ? to the OP... I remember the "mods" I did to my new 2004 Mustang 150th Anniversary Edition: Stage 1 (of course), 4:10 gear, struts/shocks, Brembo's, and some stuff I can't even remember. That was in my mid-life crisis years ? Nowadays, I don't mind adding...
